OK I'm just giving you all a heads up now. This site is going to shit. I have made posts like this before but nothing has happened. But this time, as soon as we can get enough people to work on it, we will be giving the forums a "makeover" essentially. Basically what we want to do is close all threads which are dead, block everyone from the repository (except mods), crack down on spam and issues which have been discussed many times, and impliment NEW RULES which will go into effect upon the time they are posted.

So in a nutshell, things here will start to seem like an Army Boot Camp. But once you get used to it, things will be much smoother and overall a better place.

U have the ability to block people from repository?
And yea...the one thing people is buggin' me is dat new members keep reviving old threads..
I dun think there's a need to close threads that look dead...just leave it unless some guy revives it...

mayb we need some more mods here... only 6 and not all 6 are very active. pamela comes on once in a while, nubli your preaty active but not enough to imply the changes you want, muzik isnt very active when it comes to closing threds/banning spammers and such, i havent seen etanol for a while, cheshire also isnt very active, but i see alfzz here alot. we just need more active mods. I dont want to log into d2s one day and see a boot camp i want to see it as a place for me to say what i want when i want (as long as its on topic and not spamming)

EDIT: im not flaming anyone for not being active everyday im just saying what I think about you wanting new rules

In terms of mod activeness (meaning doing their job) I come in first and CheshireCat in a close second. From there on out its hard to tell.

hey maybe u could build a bot to emulate modding d2sector lol

by the way im gonna like these changes i bet, less spammers, more people who read the rules. aside from the fact that it was improving my typing speed, i was getting slightly annoyed at sending a link to a jhj guide over and over again.

I have d2s/forums set as my homepage for Firefox just so I can pop in and out whenever I feel like it.

And it will be interesting once we start banning people for not reading the rules, then hearing them complain about how we are unfair. Tough shit for them. Whoever doesn't read the rules posts at his/her own risk.

I hope we can get an IRC server set up since I know how to use it now. I can be an op in there and answer peoples questions so they wont have to post here and generate spam.

as Snake (from the show The Simpsons) would say, "Sweet Acceleration." I'll be interested in seeing what this forum will look like after all of the changes are implemented into the system. Good job starting this up Nubli.

Well, I think that's good Nubli. ^^ Funny.. I never read the rules in the first place XD I just concider it common sence :p

**coughcough**

And sliver,

id like to see a d2sector.net channel or bot up for an experiment

I got my cd-keys back, so I can have about six or so bots on at once .. if Nubli you'd like I can do that, but it can't be up 24 / 7

I could help out with layout stuff and all that for the site image. I dont really want to mod though. At least not till 1000+ posts. But yea... I could help make some new Forum Color Themes. Or whatever you want me to do just PM me. :)

Just at thought. I'll help out after I start Gfx Design at my school in February. Then I will be better. (I guess.)

This site is 10x better if you change the color once in a while :)

Only prob with Light Theme is your points don't show. Same with Funky.

Actually the border on top for the Funky Theme is missing a pic on the right side. I'll tray and make a Yellow D banner to match the theme. Brb
