Burner...

I was using my burner last night to burn songs... and it worked fine. Get up this morning, can't sleep so decide to have shower, then change some songs, make new CD. Spent ****ing 2 hours just getting it working, finally works now barely reads for shit. What the **** could have happened. Don't tell me it just crapped out on me goddamnit. Reads CDs fine still and everything.

you think its your burner program messen up?

you can try reinstalling that or you can try downloading new burner program

I used Window Media Player Series 9, and Nero :S Both no luck... same thing

If it's a decent burner, the company may offer a free diagnostic tool. Or you could try Sisoft Sandra to test the burner. Sometimes they DO just crap out. Happens a lot with things that have loads of moving parts in them.

im guessing you have a burner similar to mine, mines made by some offbrand company that ive never heard of, and it cant read burned cds 90% of the time and when i go to burn one it doesent recignize the blank cd, it says theres nothin in the drive

usally restarting my computer a couple times fixes it

It's a program you can use to run all sorts of tests on your PC hardware. Like if you dont know what particular brand something is, or you wanna know the detailed specs you can't find on the website, Sandra will tell you. I think there are functionality tests as well.
