Playing D2C after D2X isinstalled

Is it possible to play D2 Classic after Xpack is installed? The problem is that currently I have the D2C disc but no the Xpack disc. When I put the D2 CD in it tells me i need to put the D2X cd in. I've tried clicking every possible option on the D2C CD. is it possible or what?

i think it is possible since you got your D2C loader and right patch there is no problem

you might have to just reinstall D2C since u dont have the expansion cd. As far as i know u cant play D2C when u got expansion installed
