Well I've done uber trist about 10 times, so i thought id re-write my guide since my last one disappeared. this covers monsters attacks and immunities.
Monster 1: Horror Mage
Basic Information:
These come in many varieties, skeletal mages of red, black or white color. (Note: even though they have magic resist, Blessed Hammer and Holy bolt still do full damage to them)
Resists:
33DR
Their other resists vary on what type they are. If they are poison, they have more poison resist, fire, more fire resist, etc. The white ones usually won't be immune to anything, but the red and black horror mages will be immune to a) poison and b) their elemental type. Red and black mages also have magic resist 50%.
Attacks:
Charged bolt
Poison bolt- Like Andariel's, but weaker.
Fire bolt
Ice bolt
Strategy:
However, they pose little threat, even in great numbers and with mephisto's conviction. Ignore these, as you would a quill rat, or a fallen.
Threat level-Minimal
Monster 2: Pit lord
Basic Information:
These look exactly like the venom lords of act 4 and 5. However, they have a BIG difference. (Note: even though they have magic resist, Blessed Hammer and Holy bolt still do full damage to them)
Resists:
50DR
145 magic
145 fire
145 lightning
145 cold
145 poison resist.
Attacks:
Normal attack
Inferno
Strategy:
They can do significant damage in large groups, but mainly get in the way of the mouse. If with friends, possibly let one of them keep these in check. Otherwise, take them into account but mainly ignore them. These are probaly the most dangerest minions in uber trist.
Threat level-Slight
Monster 3: Horror Archer
General Information:
These look like skeletal archers, found commonly in acts 1,2 and 5. (Note: even though they have magic resist, Blessed Hammer and Holy bolt still do full damage to them)
Resists:
33DR
10magic resist
66 fire
66 cold
66 lightning
140 poison resist.
Attacks:
Guided arrow
Strategy:
If possible, have someone keep them in low numbers, along with the pit lords. Why? Simple. They shoot guided arrows, that are quite weak by themselves, but in large numbers may cause you to get stuck in block animation, or kill you. These are probaly the second most dangerous minions, after pit lords.
Threat level-Slight
Monster 4: Returned
General Information:
These look like skeletal warriors, also found throughout acts 1 and 2. (Note: even though they have magic resist, Blessed Hammer and Holy bolt still do full damage to them)
Resists:
33DR
70magic resist
50 fire res
100light res
25cold res
110 poison res.
Attacks:
Normal attack
Strategy:
They don't have any special attacks, and are generally just useless. Ignore these guys.
Threat level-Minimal
Monster 5: Specter
Basic Information:
These ghosts look like, well...ghosts, found in acts 2 and 5. (Note: even though they have magic resist, Blessed Hammer and Holy bolt still do full damage to them)
Resists:
100 DR
50 magic resist
50 cold resist
100 poison resist.
Attacks:
Normal attack
Strategy:
They don't do much damage, but can drain your mana, which is a problem for smiters as they don't have leech. They're physical immunity is a pain at times, but these pose hardly any danger to a prepared player. Beware their mana leech though.
Threat level-Minimal
Monster 6: Dark Lord
Basic Information:
These look like vampires, similar to the ones found in acts 1-3, and necromancers in full trangs. (Note: even though they have magic resist, Blessed Hammer and Holy bolt still do full damage to them)
Resists:
100 DR
33 fire res
33 light res
135 cold res
50 poison res.
Attacks:
Normal attack
Meteor
Fire ball
Dark fireball- leeches life from you to them.
Strategy:
However, they are rather pathetic and should be taken lightly.
Threat level-Minimal
Monster 7: An Evil Force
Basic Information:
A cage summoned by Diablo, it has very low life. It could let other monsters either get away, or get free hits on you.
Resists:
100 cold
100 poison resist.
Attacks:
None
Strategy:
Whack it away asap, and you're off.
Threat level-Minimal
Special Monster 1: Uber Baal
Basic Information:
Looks like normal baal, pretty much IS normal baal, with more life and stuff. He regenerates life at twice the normal rate. (Note: even though they have magic resist, Blessed Hammer and Holy bolt still do full damage to them)
Resists:
75 fire
110 cold
75 lightning
75 poison
50 DR
75 magic resist
Attacks:
Normal attack
Festering Appendages- Tentacle like monsters that appear from the ground and block your escape..hardly.
Mana rift- An inferno that drains half your mana which really annoys smiters as they don't have mana leech
Chilling armour
Teleport
Decrepify
Antidefense- A curse that lowers defense by 95%
Blood mana- Life is taken instead of mana when you use skills taht use mana
Incinteration nova- An expanding ring of fire that covers about the whole screen in small firebolts
Hoarfrost- A cold wedge that freezes you and knocks you back
Destructive strike- Normal attack, plus 120-200% fire damage or 120-160% cold damage
Vile Effigy- Creates a clone of Baal that loses life faster, and dies when the real Baal dies
Strategy:
Weak and easy compared to the other two Prime Evils. Beware his Mana rift and Hoarfrost if you don't have cannot be frozen.
Threat level-Great
Special Monster 2: Uber Mephisto
Basic Information:
Once again, much like normal mephisto, except more life and stuff, runs a hecka lot faster, and has conviction. He has lower life than the other 2 Prime Evils, but the conviction makes him the deadliest monster around.
You cannot leech life or mana from him. (Note: even though they have magic resist, Blessed Hammer and Holy bolt still do full damage to them)
Resists:
75 fire
75 cold
110 lightning
110 poison
20 DR
75 Magic resist
Attacks:
Normal attack
Lightning
Charged bolt
Blizzard
Frost nova
Skull Missile- Like an ice blast on steroids. Lots of steroids. It's a fast ball that does a lot of cold damage as well as chilling
Conviction- Mephisto's aura is always active until he dies, and lowers your fire, cold, and lightning resists greatly.
Strategy:
Take Mephisto out first and fast! His conviction aura, along with his skull missile and charged bolt, are absolutely devastating. Melee characters MUST have life tap
Threat level-Insanely dangerous! Beware!
Special Monster 3: Pandemonium Diablo
Basic information:
Like Diablo clone. Looks like normal diablo, more life and stuff, blah blah blah. He regenerates life at twive the normal rate. (Note: even though they have magic resist, Blessed Hammer and Holy bolt still do full damage to them)
Resists:
110 fire
75 cold
75 lightning
75 poison
Attacks:
Normal attack
Fire Nova- an expanding ring of fire
Lightning Bolt of Death/Pink Lightning/Red Lightning Hose- a massive beam that is 50% physical damage, 50% lightning, 100% painful
Cold Touch- An attack enchanted with cold damage
Fire wall
Hellstorm- Like the druid's firestorm, but a hecka lot bigger. Casts if you have the Hellfire torch charm on you
An evil force- Basically bone prison, see above
Charge
Taunt- does nothing
Armageddon- Like the druid's
Strategy:
Lightning inferno can HURT, especially if Mephisto is still around. He isn't as hard as he sounds though, and is the strongest of the 3 Prime Evils.
Threat level-Very dangerous!
Special Monster 4: Lag
Basic Information:
Lag is the deadliest enemy in uber trist. With all the monsters, it is VERY common, and 90% cause of death.
Resists:
1000% slow computer
1000% slow modem
-100% fast computer
-150% fast modem
Attacks:
Freeze game- Freezes game, and drops everyone
Slow- Slows everything down on your screen, while monsters attack you as normal
Lagout- Only you can move, until it unlags and everything speeds up and you die
Strategy:
Especially upon entering the portal, run away a little bit and wait for everything to load and lag to calm down a bit, then find a target, preferably one of the Prime Evils, hold down the mouse button and wait. Lag kills, or even worse, drops everyone from the game.
Threat level-OFF THE CHART
