Now that Warden is active once more, hundreds of people have been banned using maphack. Most of these people are experienced and veteran players, all having HUGE amounts of godly items stashed in endless mules. What will happen to this game once these players are gone? Are people finally getting off this ancient old game once and for all and moving on with life now that their cd keys are permanatly banned? What do u guys plan to do?

Did they ban Cd-keys in this scan? A mate lost two accounts and not another but also lost his cdkey.

Account banning is fair enough - you break the rules you gotta accept the concequences. (Just don't get caugh ; ) ). Cd-key banning I think is a bit too extreme though. They never used to ban cdkeys for mh. they saved that for people doin' suspicious server things (creating large amounts of lag, rollbacks etc.). Maybe it's the Poo new bnet team.

Just my thoughts : )

ok what happens to all those experienced players who get banned is they go to wally world get a new diablo2exp and if they're so experienced get rich without maphack and live happily ever after.

Why are we still all stuck on this 5 year old game? There are so much better things out there to play and so many other things to do than just sit and play diablo through ur life. Maybe the banned should recognize that

No, I believe Blizzard is doing this to make the game more legit like its original intent from the gecko.

I agree with Hellsing; a true experienced player wouldn't use a maphack (or any hack) if they truly were experienced with the game. People get hooked onto the game and can't leave it because you never know whether the next monster you kill could drop a hr or some elite unique. The want to become godly on the game keeps people logging back in, regardless of how old it is.

jedi i completely agree with you on the fact of addiction that diablo presents. You find one good thing and you can't stop, making this sort of a drug to you.

The joke about blizz running Diablo into the ground was exactly that, a joke.

Yep, I think blizz taught me a lesson with this ban. This was the godliest I have ever got, and I get banned. All I have to do now is to wait because for sime reason I am IPedblank: It is kinda like a drug because it keeps you coming back for more and you can't stop your first time.

lolz, sorta like that buddism thing they do; spend years building some huge sand painting and then just chuck it out into the streets. All the time we spend looking for items and lvling really means nothing in the real world

Another reason they ban people is probably because think of all the people they've banned. Almost all of them must bought another cd so thats a lot more sales for them too probably. I'm not exactly sure how many people they've banned but it must be in high 1000's or even 10000's.

remember this game has been out for quiet a while, and lots of people like to hack on d2, so id say its much higher than the 10000s

i got banned also for mh after 5 yrs of playing sucked but i took the chance and lost but is map hack really all that bad i used it cause i can only play few hours a day and it takes for ever to find your way some times i would say dupers and bots are a lot more evil
