What is the area of the screen in yards. Like spells that say they affect 8 yards. How big is that? i have a 15" screen but it will be the same for every1. Just wondering.

damn good question, never thought about it before. I would think it depends on the resolution and some other factors but I am pretty ignorant about it. I look forward to an intelligent answer. (what I have done in the past was figure characters are 6 ft./2 yards tall and gone from there).

It doesn't have anything to do with he resolution or the size of your screen. No matter who is playing For instance: if you do the trick in act 1 to keep from getting kicked out for idle (below log pile and click on stash) everyone just can see enough of the stash to click on it. As far as the actually distance, I dont think arreat has an actually value but I would guess it to be near 14x10 yards. Trying to think of a good test, meteor is 4 yards across, how many of them fit in a screen??

it does rely on reolution in the d2 game. ie u change the d2 demesions. ever have a tele race? the people with 800*600 win. its like 15 by 10- in 680 mode and 20 by 15 in 800

tele race? u can so win on the smaller once if u just have a bigger cast rate .. :D but yah i know wut u mean its a really good question
isnt diablo tilebased? if it is im guessing one "tile" is a yard.. for example if u put lightning to the lowest quality u will see these little diamond shape tiles
mikea454 seems to have a good idea, if u know meteor is 4 yards across, then just compare anything to the size of a meteor :)

i have an idea. take a ss with meteor at its fullest(4 yard). then open the image in photoshop. then go to pattern maker and highlight only the meteor. then hit create pattern and each block will be 4ft squared. then just count how many squares there are. the edge will be cut off probably but it will give u a pretty close guess.

Or i guess you can do Meteor with light quality on the lowest to measure. (light quality on really helps when its night in diablo or a sin uses CoS.
thx for the help guys. ill try it out and tell you what i get
