Who in the hell said "we will not go quietly into the night!" or maybe it was "do not go quietly into the night!" I need to find out for an assignment. If you manage to find it on google, good luck, then pm me the link. Hopefully someone will know and they will have my eternal gratitude.

I am not totally sure exactly what quote you are referring to, but there is:
Do not go gentle into that good night/.....
Part of a poem, named by the same title as the quote; by Dylan Thomas (Source: [minstrels] Do Not Go Gentle Into That Good Night -- Dylan Thomas (http://www.cs.rice.edu/~ssiyer/minstrels/poems/38.html))
-------------------------------
There is also the quote from Independence Day, which goes with
We will not go quietly into the night! We will not vanish without a fight!
The speaker here is fictitious President Whitmore, played by Bill Pullman. I am not totally sure if this quote was taken from elsewhere; it may have kinda originated from Thomas' poem above.
(Source: I'm looking for the original quote, of which I remember only this: '...do not go quietly into that dark night...' - Topic Powered by Infopop (http://forum.quoteland.com/1/OpenTopic?a=tpc&s=586192041&f=487195441&m=5151972695&r=7761963695))
