View Full Version : Favorite Book you ever read
well, we have threads on what is your favorite movie and crap like that, so i thought we should have a favorite book thread. This is not what is the BEST book, but what book is your favorite, because many people will have different tastes, and whats good to one person may not be for the other.
Mine would have to be either...
Dreamland - By Dale Brown
or
Wings of Fire - By Dale Brown
i also like many star wars novels, and Tom Clancy. If anyone else knows of other good semi fictional war writers, please let me know about them!
the davinchi code would have to be one of the only books ive ever read and i quite enjoyed it except it pretty friggin long, lol.

The Case of Charles Dexter Ward.
The lyrics in the song Borellus by H.I.M. were taken right from this book, they are about bringing the dead to life.

Mine would have to be the whole "Left Behind" Series by Jerry Jenkins and Tim LaHaye. They are about the Rapture and the after events including the rise and fall of the Antichrist and the second coming of Christ. Awsome books i think there is like 10 of them.
Or Holes thats a good book
Aliss by Patrick something...
Original french version, if you read it you wont really understand the beginning unless you live in quebec. Its a really crazy book (I'd actually rate this book "R" for the insanely well detailed sexual happenings, I got a boner reading this novel ffs...)

I enjoyed a couple of books by Richard Preston; most notably The Hot Zone and The Cobra Event.
Also, be quiet, but I enjoyed the Harry Potter series. Nothing wrong with it; J.K. Rowlings did a great job.

The Hot Zone ROCKED I have read it about 6 times...I am an avid reader and have many favorite books and authors.
Another really great book is Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card. Excellent as well as his whole series of follow up books in the same story line.
I enjoy true crime books by Anne Rule,as well as fantasy books by Terry Brooks, his series starting with The Sword of Shannara was engrossing and entertaining.
Bah how can i forget about good ol orson? I LOVED THE SHADOW SERIES!
Shogun yeah its a good book but hey its over a thousand pages.. I never got around to over 200 :(
My favorite book is probably Oc Mice and Men considering the fact that Ive read about 4 books.. and its probably the best :D

The Last Command by Timothy Zahn, it's the third book in a series but really was a killer ending. Timothy Zahn kicks some major ass, as does Grand Admiral Thrawn.
