Yeah, I'm doing pretty good.. School's going great... Only my mom thinks that four "2"'s is crap (5's max)...
She thinks I don't study at all... Actually I don't.. But still I have great grades... She doesn't notice them... Which I hate, most of all..
Aite, hope everything is ok with you guys..

I hear ya about the Mom and grade thing, mine always expected straight A's from me...which I made. Your grading system seems different...can you explain a bit?
As far as how it is going I have 2 people down with the Flu and I am helping them when they have to hurl, checking on fevers, and making sure they stay in bed.*I am a Mom* ~shrugs~ Thats just what I do.

School different in Estonia? I guess I am just realizing that there are more Estonians on BZS than I think... I have been playing D2 with this Polish guy and his wife, they are pretty cool. I am just realizing there are more Europeans on the internet than I thought lol.
i'm glad my mum never put me under pressure to get "A" in every subject. it was the schoolwork itself that put the pressure on since i'm more the practical type than the "write up" type (i hated the write ups the most since you don't know where the f*** to start)

I'm gonna have to side with your mom on this one, 2 out of 5 seems to be crap. On the AP exams they have here, 5 is max, and most colleges don't accept anything less than a 4. 2 is one away from the minimum. 2 out of 5 is not a great grade.

In Estonia, instead of getting letters, i.e. A-E, etc, you get numbers, in which case 5 is the best and 2 is worst. It's a hangover from the Soviet Union.

Yeah, I can't blame your mom 2 out of 5 sucks. I hate school and I just don't do the work but I know I am capable of straight A's. I have been apathetic about school all my life though, I dont even know why honestly. I remember my first homework assignment in third grade, it was a current events assignment... I didn't do it. I am in alternative school right now so I can actually graduate because god knows I am not doing any homework. I dont spend 8 hours a day at school to go home and spend another 4 hours doing the work they give me.

I, on the other hand, spent a fair share of my time working (I am by no means a nerd). Made the effort when I had to and when it was important to do so. Got straight A's. Am currently doing a double Law degree (English and French law) in one of the world's top universities.
Oh well, I guess it's really up to where your priorites lie and what you'd like to do in the rest of your life.

Too bad it's not, it's in Cambridge, UK.
Ah, Apptitude Tests. Yes, sort of like the grading rubric for essays, 1-5? If so, then I would have to say that a 2 is exceptionaly poor. I ussually do good on those such tests.
Math thinks it is in France? o.O

I know the feeling of working and still doing well in school. I worked 2 jobs and graduated at the top of my class with multiple scholarships.*bows to you Frater* I am impressed and admire your fortitude in achieving this for yourself.

That is correct sir. I passed on the University scholarships and moved on tho join the Army. After recieving 3 letters of commendation I left the service and married my high school sweetheart , who proposed when we were 12.rolleyes:

The best University (arguably) that is a Military Academy West Point,I had a full appointment to. I decided to enlist and served my country.*Military Intelligence no less*I still have a Top Secret Security Clearance.
@Zerokool : Tests can be odd...I score genius on most and when tested in high school I got a 98% over any other people tested that year in both abstract and mechanical thinking 0.o
Meaning inly 2 % of anyone THAT year and MY age scored beter on the test.

Maybe then but not now, you've kind of dropped down on the Mental Food chain a bit Pam :P
Although I'm a notorious Grammar Nazi, I was never a big English buff, actually I hated it. I'm more of a Math/Science oriented person. Got a 800 on the Math SAT (Perfect of course, I destroyed math in school) and then 720 on the Reading (Still pretty good, but I could've done much better had I cared to even prepare for the SAT).

Wait, Frater said 2 was the worst. So it's from 2 to 5. So you could change that to 1 to 4. And 1/4=.25 or 25%. So you're basically getting 25's on all your papers right?
i think he meant 1 was the worste, besides when i was in elementary school the grading system was 1-5... devilish:
but i use to pass school without doing anything except homework after it was my time for bed (it sounded better). then i got into highschool. i risk being kicked from my 360 and computer. :(
