Well first off, I have d2 working and everything, but my problem isn't that stings mh won't load or anything. So, here's what happens, I load bart up, load d2, go in a game, reveal act. But my d2 window goes MAD small basically like this box here

I mean, that game still is running, mh still running, but the game window itself is not resizeable and i can't see squat.
Does anyone else use Ubuntu and stings mh? I'm hoping someone can answer my question here. D2 sucks ass w/o MH.

Use wine. (Second link on Google when you search for "wine", "winehq")
Wine is a form of windows file execution to run windows programs on *nix.
I have not tested it with this particular program (maphack) but try it out, and if you hit any problems, I'll be happy to repost in this thread again.

Yea i Use Ubuntu, but with a program called "Parallel", so i have My Vista Premium + Ubuntu on one Pc. I think it "might" make a difference, since i have Windows on there aswell. I Place my Diablo 2 on Ubuntu Because of its excelled memory management, and i manage to get Stings to work perfectly.
Just one thing though... Did you download it wilst you were on Ubuntu?
Cause when you download a program on Windows Vista, and try to run it on my Ubuntu side of the Pc, it says invalid file. Thats because the way the Ubuntu decodes the program is different to the way Vista does...
Maybe try using a different version... Like a 1.10 If your on 1.11b and visa versa
