View Full Version : Bot Baal games: What are they?

Is there a bot that automatically names and creates a new game for multiplayer baal runs on east bn? Also too, what other kinds of bots have been proven to work on closed realm. From a personal standpoint, I am only curious and have no intention of searching out and using any such program nor do I care if some one else does.
Just idle curiousity.

Kuk bot does indeed run public baals. It's available on ebay from time to time for about $25. The workings of it are quite well done but it is coded in such a way that it only works for one specified account preventing it from being freely distributed. There is also a plugin called Awesom-o(sp?) for RedVex that would in theory do the same thing although as far as I know it still has some serious issues such as causing realm downs and crashing randomly.

So far my observation has been that Kuk automatically and instantly confiscates all baal drops to the exclusion of other players' drop pick-up opportunities, and apparently, deletes worthless and stores valuable drops in a way that leaves that character with an renewed empty or partially empty backpack.
I am sure that the bot works on only one account as the Kuk program with its complex settings and variables are installed on only one pc functioning separately from any other pc interface, however , it is curious as to how the clan members of these bots can join-game so rapidly in successive games.
Sure , baal run games renamed with only a single "character" difference in title can be rejoined by a savy group of players who repeatedly look for the same slightly altered game name next up, but, the speed by which these games are recreated and played makes me wonder if clan members characters' names have not been pre-programed into Kuk by a friend who installed and programmed the bot, giving his buddies priority joining priviledge.
I also have to wonder whether ther D2 item marketing companies aren't also involved in this quickly generated source of inventory to sell.
There are messages posted throughout the conduct of these games that are not in the same format we know to be player to player message.
One format we are all familiar with is the " soj's sold- Diablo walks the earth" message. Other non-player generated messages advertise websites.
Is BN in control of these messages. If the broad across-the board Baal Bot related messages are not monitored and censored by BN, how is it that these hackers are able to circumvent BN firewall.
But , what is most important, is the question of how these hackers have managed to escape BN awareness,, where such hack is the cause of lag , realm downs , crashing and game interruptions, not to mention corrupting otherwise legitmate gameplay.
Please feel free to comment. I feel that I am in this thing alone, but I am getting tired of recent lag and game interrruptions and personally believe these hackers are responsible.

Thank god I saved my old Kukbot.

I guess I'm an idiot for caring about the purity and legitimacy of bn.
I think it's time I move on.

Welcome to the world of online gaming... That is just the way it is, and it has been unusually laggy on east today.

LeechBot for RedVex is how they are joining so fast.
And I really doubt this has anything to do with the lag.

I believe that it not only has everything to do with lag but is the sole cause of the current eastern crash. What else is there? Maphacks have never been a problem. I don't know whether there's been much duping lately or portal pirating.
Blizz tells people and tells people and tells people that they cannot run hack on these realms. Whether it's disrupting some delicate balance of 'code and memory space' or simply corrupting game code itself, who knows,....but, what we do know is that it screws things up and screws things up for everybody. Why do people find this so difficult to understand? Do they think Blizz and bn staffers are blowing smoke up our south ends.
Is it coincidental that bot use has seemingly become much more prevalent in recent weeks. There are certain tell tale signs that clearly indicate that your in a bot game. At the risk of sounding like a prude I have openly criticized and condemned bot runners in those same games. I would never turn anyone in, we are all human and make mistakes, but they are infringing on my rights to play a game that would otherwise have a much more minimized amount of interruptions and lag. Now they've done it! The writing was on the wall. I hope east stays down for a month. Maybe it'll soak in after that.
And now the bn staff has to update rustorm to erase these programs or there is no point in booting up the realm again only to have it crash again.
I could be wrong but I doubt it. Blizz has safeguards to prevent crashes, server updates, etc,..while it is common knowledge that hack crashes computers. And that's what blizz has been saying all along!!!
Go take a look at Open. It's a mess. Getting kicked off , failure to join, lag beyond belief and error messages galore. Why try to turn closed into something like that.
One study reports that baal bots actually take three times longer to level a char than manually and is really only for people who have no time to play at all. So thers an irony; a non-player ruining it for a player.
Where's Ralph Nader when you need him?

It kind of annouys me a bit when people are so lazy that they need a bot to level themselves. I mean it took me quite awhile to lvl my din to 95 and I just remade him because I messed up a skill point >.< Not that I'm not guilty of using a hack I've used a maphack since I started playing a few years ago. but just for the sole purpose of faster mf runs and rushing. would be a pitty for all them fools who dished out the $25 for the baal bot to get banned If blizzard figures it out. guess ill go play GW till east gets back online:(

I cant wait till awesome-o gets updated ... to the point of perfection T.T ;Di'm a beta tester for kingsob, so far the new version is pretty cute, pots don't get stuck on the cursor, built in pickit, faster teleporting, leave on hostile etc.

Did it ever occur to you that this could all just be a "scare tactic" aimed at making ppl hack less? Maybe the servers are old and poorly maintained...
