I think this is a cd-key stealer, I cannot get on battle.net because my cd-key is being used. Even though it still has my own name on it. Or it's just lagging like hell, I'm going to try to get on in a few minutes, I'll keep you all posted on my progress... (If there is any =P)
Xent, how would you know? Proof please. ^_^
Besides, all you have to do is close svchost, its not going to crash your comp if you do, I always close it. (Ctrl+Alt+Del - Processes)
Well, I can get on bnet now. ^_^

wait if you just delete hte svchost in the windows directory does that fix everything?
i think you have to close the right svchost.exe

not sure if svchost.exe is the only trojan/keylogger... it could be just a module that sends your passwords/cdkey/etc... to the creator of the hack. your firewall can block this easy. But there still can be more hidden modules/copies of the trojan/keylogger.
The other svchost running in your task manager are a part of windows system. Actually the trojan/keylogger is disguise as svhost so it easily hidden as running process.
It also makes an entry to your registry so it runs it everytime you start up. Search in regedit run and you should see a data with c:\windows\svchost.exe . Delete this entry.

Im not sure. I already run my task manager before starting the program. I saw the time it was executed. So i closed it right after...

Lol if you really need to run a suspicious diablo2 hack do the following.
1) Use a realm that you never will play, eg. like asia or europe. This prevents your cd-key to be stolen. (your cd-key can be used in anyrealms at the same time)
2) Make a dummy account with a crappy password that you dont use duh. This prevents your password to be stolen.
3)Make a system restore restore point (do this before you run the hack)
4)Open windows folder arrange to modified date (youll know something that has been added, Check the folders too)
5)Open your taskmanager.
6)Check for firewall alerts.
7)Check netstat. lol

ya i used a dummy acct and i re-started the comp everytime after i ran it, but i guess since the svchost.exe ran at startup then the keylogger was automatically uploaded
btw do you know how long password recovery is supposed to take?
