I loved it when i was littler the new snake - SilverTears - 09-02-2007 the reason im not going to record it just yet is because i just got it in my house yesterday, i dont want to freak it out with the camera and everything. wait till it gets a bit bigger. and a pinky is a baby mouse ![]() yes, they are that small. no, that is not my hand. the new snake - Zerobanshee - 09-03-2007 my mom used to have a few ball python, and we bred dwarf hamsters to feed them. We origionally had 2 pythons, and 2 hamsters, and ended up with about 25 hamsters total. Im thinking of getting one of my own. though, but my dad is terrified of snakes, due to an accident when he was a kid. I loved Pinky and the Brain. Didnt Pinky always go "Narf!" or something along the lines of that? the new snake - Pamela - 09-06-2007 Did you figure out those white things crawling on it? The last live snake I picked up was a 4FT.Copperhead,then I only pulled my pockettknife out and cut it's head off. the new snake - Palmer2000e - 09-07-2007 sweet snake. how much do snakes cost anyways? and then for their food supply and how often you have to feed them...? the new snake - Ragnarhox - 09-07-2007 Palmer2000e Wrote:sweet snake. how much do snakes cost anyways? and then for their food supply and how often you have to feed them...? The snakes at the Petco near me cost $80 each. I feed my snake two mice each week, they are like a dollar each, or something like that. the new snake - SilverTears - 09-07-2007 pam - why do you kill them? ~.~ just put them in a bag or something and drive them to somewhere and release them. palmer - it depends on the snake, and the setup. my baby ball python costed my $50. and since i already had the tank and the lights for it from my other pet, thats all i really had to pay. weekly i buy 1 pinkie for it. they are $1. the new snake - Pamela - 09-08-2007 SilverTears Wrote:pam - why do you kill them? ~.~ just put them in a bag or something and drive them to somewhere and release them. Because my kids were retarded and thought it could be played with. They then got a lesson on snakes and recognition. It's a Mom thing. It had also been run over by a 4 wheeler, back was broken, and would have died anyway,I merely facilitated the end result. the new snake - Palmer2000e - 09-08-2007 SilverTears Wrote:palmer - it depends on the snake, and the setup. my baby ball python costed my $50. and since i already had the tank and the lights for it from my other pet, thats all i really had to pay. weekly i buy 1 pinkie for it. they are $1. Wow, not bad. a lot cheaper than i would have guessed. Im guessing ball Pythons dont get Too big? the new snake - Kyle Destroyer - 09-08-2007 No they can get pretty big, and when you move onto rats instead of pinkies the expense can get pretty bad. Luckily they don't ave to eat but once or twice a month when they mature. the new snake - Acid Burn - 09-08-2007 I myself have a Albino Burmese in a quite large aquarium on my screened in back porch. I let it out in the back yard a lot, he is almost 7 feet this fall and is getting tired of confinment. My back yard has a 8 foot wooden privacy fence around it so he isn't going anywhere. I would post a picture, but I can't yet so will wait a little while. Nice snake though. ![]() the new snake - Palmer2000e - 09-08-2007 Acid Burn Wrote:I myself have a Albino Burmese in a quite large aquarium on my screened in back porch. All of a sudden i have a huge interest in having a snake for a pet haha the new snake - SilverTears - 09-08-2007 palmer - they do get very big. ball pythons can get up to 6 feet. burms are ridiculously big. if you are thinking about buying a python, go with a ball as your first. the new snake - Palmer2000e - 09-08-2007 yeah thats what i was reading up on. Read an article that said they are your typical "first snake". As they are very easy to handle, and arent too over demanding. the new snake - BrioCloud - 09-08-2007 Haha Pamela what a swordsman. That baby mice looks so helpless. =[ the new snake - Ragnarhox - 09-08-2007 SilverTears Wrote:palmer - they do get very big. ball pythons can get up to 6 feet. burms are ridiculously big. if you are thinking about buying a python, go with a ball as your first. Although ball pythons can get pretty large, they are generally 3-5 feet, I believe, when mature(females are usually the ones that are 4+). Also ball pythons are very good as pets because they are very docile after being handled for a while and very rarely become aggressive. the new snake - Aemaeth - 09-08-2007 Reminds me of when i chased my friend around the house with a frozen rat. the new snake - SilverTears - 09-09-2007 Yup, you should be fine. Just don't squeeze it hard and play around with it's head. Before you buy it make sure you have everything you need. |
