Well yeah, I thought it was a huge number too.
But then again, I don't play anymore so idk exactly how many people actually DO play.

Well I was on Bnet the other day and there were a hell of a lot of people online.
I imagine it is still a very popular game, plus with the ever closer time in which we can play D3 I imagine people (like me) have pulled out their D2 games and started brushing up on them.
So the number may have jumped up slightly in the past year.
