Xbox360? It's just for a fps, you still buy it because it can run the LATEST ZOMFG FPS. HALO IS A TIRED GAME. IT WAS TIRED WHEN HALO 1 CAME OUT.

Console gaming was DOMINATED by single player in those days.
It had a TERRIBLE cliché storline but because of microsofts maketing you all flock to it.
I have seen no change in cliché storyline.
Argue about online mutliplayer now please. I'd rather play superior PC mulitplayer now.
I'm not buying a console for multiplayer. i'm buying for story.

Flea - Are you saying Tekken is the king of button mashing (for reference I almost put mutton there instead) or are you bashing the game King of Fighters, which is possibly one of the most well constructed and difficult to master fighting games ever.

the only game ive liked for 360 was gears of war and that was an awesome game. Halo 3 is good but not as good as its hyped. theres so many BS kills in that game that its not even funny. so it basically takes no skill to play that game. half the time its luck. and halo is a game where if your good with a sniper then you will always decimate the game. but yeah on the ring of fire. my friend has had his platinum 360 for about 2years and he just now got the red ring so yeah. i fixed it though by over heating it on purpose so the ring isnt that bad. but 360 still doesnt have a great selection of games. i would rather buy a ps3 cause the multi-platform games that come out. if theres no difference then i would want better graphics behind me. but yes graphics dont make a game. and yes add on the hd dvd player onto the cost of the 360 and u have a 400dollar system but not to mention xbox live which is 50 per year so theres a 450system as it lays. ps3 is 500. wow 50more dollars. and free online and a blu ray dvd player and backwards compatible all the way to ps1 titles. but also heres what gets me. 360 games are still made on regular disks. and they still charge 60bucks for a new game on 360. ps3 games are made on blu ray disks so its gonna cost more to actually make the product so they would have to up the price on the games. microsoft likes to get as much money as possible. thats y they up there games and charge 50 a month for xbox live. but also not to mention microsoft points which allows to download arcade games or rent movies online. thats feeding mroe money into there pockets so w/e. im going with ps3 on this one

I'm with you as far as the "PS3 is worth it" statement, it's a small and still powerful computer is what it is, therefore the price is reflected there... you can't expect things to get better AND cheaper, selfish bastards.

Well, although I must say I love the 360; I have had some problems with it. Today I just picked up my third Xbox360.
First one I bought a year ago, with a 1yr warranty w/ gamestop, and the cd/dvd drive kinda stuck but wasn't a huge problem. Used the year warranty a day before it expired and got a new one; second one I got had somewhat major box damage from being on the bottom of the stack but it was all they had at the time. Had that one for...about 2-3 weeks and last night it the drive died while playing H3. I'll just assume that H3 is to powerful for the cd/dvd-drive. So I had to use that warranty after 3 weeks to get a new one.
PS: I know I can get a cheaper(maybe free know?) fix from M$ but It's much easier, and faster, to just walk into GS and get a new one.

First time I brought it in (basically just to get a new system w/ warranty) I got one hundred store credits, due to price drop, so it was basically a free year warranty. I think it may have been the fact that it was on the bottom of several 360s, or the fact that I have horrid luck, because I have never heard of that problem before.
So far I have had 3 xbox360s, one with a minor flaw, one with a critical flaw and one that has yet to be broken in. My PlayStatio2 completely failed twice(sent it in to sony). So if this 360 has any problems then the only recent company that has not sold me a defective system will be Nintendo and I will have to back up what great systems they make.

Lawl at that... It is very rare for a PS2 to have a messed up laser. Most of the time all you have to do is take it apart and clean it. I paid 20 bucks for a PS2 that a friend of mine fixed and all I have had to do to it is clean the lens. It runs perfect and is an original design.

I've had my 360 since release date and haven't had a problem. I went through 4 PS2's, and I keep my systems in top condition, so don't blame me for it.

yeah I went through 2 ps2's The big box one i had the dvd player went out in it but it still read games. untill one day my little brother decided to uhh put mashed potatoes in the system while the disk tray was open. so now i have a slim one and it hasnt given me any problems. 360's alright of a system but i expected more than an xbox with a dashboard for the "next generation" console

I wish I had the knowledge to mod mine, I want to mod it to be able to play ripped games, which I know is tricky as to not harm the reader.

Lol only thing expensive about Xbox is the games, they should be the old price for games, not 60. Other than that it's pretty affordable. Unless you are a dumbass, you can get a 360 with a harddrive and a wireless controller for about 225. My friend got one for just that price the other day.
