It was retarded? How about you lack the imagination for a good fantasy movie? It's one of the most well written stories ever and Peter Jackson kind of messed it up but the movies were still pretty good...not their fault some people lack imagination.

Smaug was a dragon that lived inside of an old dwarven mine and kept all the treasure the dwarves found. Thorin is a dwarf who travelled to the mountain with a small party to kill Smaug and take the mine back. Both died.
