Greatest Bands/Artists ever - SpoonMan999 - 04-28-2004

Ok Poik...you missed the purpose of the long list I posted...it was a list of bands people liked and it was so people could get ideas of bands to nominate...and as for Kiss Trog...Kiss inspired many bands to put their shows up a notch and during a time where disco was on top they helped to keep rock alive...you will so many modern bands imitating Kiss...while they are not the most talented...or even very talented at that...you have to look at how creative and original they were...and Poik also those thigns you listed are being considered when I'm done getting nominations for the list I'm going to chop it down to those that truly belong there...that's why I'm asking for everyone's opinions...based on opinion and what I see in modern music brought from those bands nominated I will make a final list...which will also need updates later...but eventually I will have a finalized list...besides whenever you ask for people's opinions they are going to biased that's why they're OPINIONS...so please be patient...

Ok... people mostly say bands that represent them, using music as an identity or a representation of them self. The first thing to making a good list is to seprate these representations we have for certain songs and certain bands and try to look at the music scene objective and collective. Maybe ask yourself... "How does Thrice's album 'Artist and the abumlance' compare to Metallica's black album?

The list faulty cause it contains people's ignorance and arrogance for the one thing we probably all respect a great deal: music. So next time you think of puutin up a band, try stepping outside of your ideologies and embrace the band/artist as one comapred to the rest.

peace, poik
