Guild Wars it comes out oct 29th im in the beta for it and best thing is theres no monthly fee its free play,also its made by the same peeps behind diablo,starcraft and warcraft

Star Wars Galaxies is good and I think Duild Wars look really cool especially if it's free to play.
WoW is probably going to be more popular due to previous history though (or for a while at least).

Maybe it will be released later in Europe because they did beta test 8 month's ago here, and they already finished stress test's here.

the beta tests 8 months ago were closed beta (blizz employes testers) These are open betas where anyone can fill an app out and play em its diff from a stress test
all i can say is go look at eiher site front page says accepting apps for beta tests in north america

there is no official release date or hints to when it may be released
for ex GW has been in alpha beta for 3 yrs now and is just now making it available for open beta oct 29th to anyone who preorders the game at like bestbuy and you get a preorder kit to make acct for the open beta. and they say release for final is early 2005
