I'm considering making a trapper. I have just made a necro, which is my current geared character. He has 32 hoto, dusk nig, 28maras, 2 sojs, um shako, eth 30 def boneflame zodded, arachnids, trang gloves. I also have 7 pnb gcs. I was thinking keep most of my gear, trade my gcs 4 trap gcs, trade trang gloves 4 frostburns (or magefists, i don't know which ones, because i don't think cast rate matters for traps). Someone told me that hoto wasn't the best for trappers and i should get trap claws. I don't think i could afford 2x2os 5/5 faceted claws, but i was thinking of getting 2x1os 4/4 faceted claws 4 my hoto, and trading my boneflame for either gcs, or griffins. Post your opinion on what items i should get, based on the stuff i have now. And i need to know what a griffin cost, based on %

All urs stuff except gcs could MAYBE scratch a medium to high one
perfect ones r like 5-8 runes i believe?

You should get an Umed Shako, Dracs gloves, rends/frosts gloves, trap claws, trap gcs, arch enig, arachnid mesh belt, duel sojs, and maras for your trapper.

Faq of items and jewels that add %light skill dmg they dont work on traps nor does the -res%
trap claws are good for weap switch to lay the traps keep hoto and ss for switch if you use trap claws,the fcr from hoto helps your tele/mind blast speed so trappers do need fcr,but need ias for laying traps(shaeld trap claws
).Dusk enigma is a good armor for trappers also keep the trang gloves the cold resist and 20 fcr helps.Rest of gear dual sojs or fcr rings with god mods,boots - imp shanks or eth sandtreks, maras ammy or a crafted fcr +2 assy ammy with good mods, Umd shako or rare 2 socket fcr +2 assy fcr helm with good mods.,Spider sash. Pnbs are in high demand on non ladder so if your non ladder 4-5 pnbs should get ya 10 trap gcsrem the faster you can cast mindblast the more they cant move to attack you and the longer they are stuck in your traps.

Alright, i guess griffin is out of the question, oh well, less trading then. So you're saying that facets don't matter for traps? So i should just get clean +3 trap claws, and keep my hoto, and just switch off? And i don't know about getting 2 trap gcs 4 1 pnb lol

Actually, you just don't need to have 5/5. They can be any light facet, just die facet is preferred.
