I would like to know which is better....i mean the features...functions...and not how u like it...
eg"Hey i like IE layout...so i choose IE!"...i want to see which is better...not better looking or 'feel'....

firefox/IE - Spitfire - 10-19-2004

I like both Firefox and IE. But IE is infront for me, the only reason being compatability. A few sites i goto screw up / embedded media etc dont work in Firefox.

firefox/IE - A|fzZz - 10-19-2004

but people kinda say IE is more vulnerable than firefox? Isit true?

firefox/IE - skidude - 10-20-2004

i use both but fire fox is better cause it blocks pop ups adware and spyware

i heard it was made by hackers

firefox/IE - [Ghost] - 10-20-2004

spitfire theres a mod for firefox where when u right click "launch in IE" is an option for links that dont work in firefox

firefox/IE - Warslut - 10-21-2004

My Firefox isn't that great, don't see much difference other than layout[which I'm not used to] and it doesn't have any bookmarks moved over like it said. IE has never been a problem for me.

firefox/IE - skidude - 10-21-2004

firefox does too have bookmarks and yea its alot diff then ie i just started usen it about a week ago and i love it so much

firefox/IE - Warslut - 10-21-2004

Well I know it has bookmarks, but it asked if I wanted it to xfer bookmarks from IE to FF and it didn't
Sad lol...

Mozilla Firefox loads faster IMO b/c it saves the contents of the sites you go to, which can be emptied out by going to Tools, Options, Clear All. Overall, Mozilla is more safer than IE and doesnt allow pop ups (unless u specify it)

firefox/IE - sk8rmike07 - 10-21-2004

the moving bookmarks didnt work for me either when I installed had to do it in options on firefox, and it does load hella faster than IE plus it blocks spyware and pop ups.

firefox/IE - SpreadNeedleXP - 10-21-2004

Ill agree with firefox being better on a computer that is using an OS lower than XP. With IE in XP, it has all of the features that mozilla has, and has better compatibility and faster load time.

firefox/IE - medicine_man - 10-21-2004

I was told that IE was recently cracked or something and a load of credit card numbers were lost. So I guess that might answer the question about Firefox being safer than IE.

firefox/IE - SpreadNeedleXP - 10-21-2004

was it IE on XP?

reason why im still deciding whether to use FF or not...

firefox/IE - Bugwamp - 10-25-2004

I have both IE and Firefox. I've been using FF more and more lately. Once you get to using it, you'll see that it does more than IE ever thought of doing. Plus, when Microsoft said that internet users should look for an alternative to IE due to security reasons, it made me think twice. Bill Gates does say things like that without a reason...
