Ok Me and SCF have clicked the gem at least 58k times. We noticed that once in a while "Perfect Gem Activated" came up. Here's a screeny.

I see you discovered the secret to the gem. The gem was formally for voiceover chat in a previous version but now, it is just there for boredom and amusement to see if anyone can get it to stay at perfect gem activated.
There is also rumor to it that if you continue to click past a few perfect gem activated areas, it will start to chat back at you with negativity according to battlenet so click on if you like.

Perfect Gem Activated doesnt mean anything at all. Its just something Bnet threw in there to keep bored ppl busy. Having a 'Perfect Gem Activated' does not affect game play.

yes. it does say mooo and on occasion it will ask you to quit pushing it. it is just a "gag" gem in the center of the screen. it had a purpose at one time and now it does not have a purpose at all.

we know this its just fun to do and the number o clicks dont matter. i did like 1000 clicks and got it finally and like 3 clicks and got it. so w/e anywayz u cant flood by clicking the gem... i click like 10x per second with my mouse and like 4 mouse keys lol
