A few things that made 1.10 roxors when I played
Clean realm for ladder
no hacks available at the time
all newbs no one with good items
more teamwork less focuss on urself
and much more....

Speaking for the group of people who play single player for various reasons, I prefered 1.09 because it was a bit easier for a single person to go adventuring by themselves. I do like 1.10 for the above mentioned reasons and a few others, but I keep my vote on 1.09.

problems with 1.10
some closed hacks are still on. not many people have them
pk has become alot easier. no challange.
locks are easier to do.
sanctuary glitch. a mis recoil on the scripts bnet wrote that cause 50% lag with sanctuary, and other auras.
item limit. once a person reaches the limit, they crash
lack of security. bnet has lowered security and now everyone has access to supreme accounts if they know what to do. luckilly its been under wraps.
leech mistake. they lowered leech from the 1-50 to 1-3; meaning it wont show a positive leech.
mf error. mf total doesnt mean squat now. you have to change mf percentage each game to find different items.
i prefer 1.06 when it had full security and normal option. it had account ban on closed if found with a dupe or hack. the security was much tighter.

I like 1.09 cause of the fact perfect and chippd gems are worth something. becuase of pgems i wouldnt have half the crap i have now. I don't like 1.10 cause its too damn hard need to ease down and D CLONE NEVER COMES im lucky get my hands on a anni now. I never tried the other versions to I say 1.09 rocks!

well personally i started playing when 1.09d was already out. but some things ive heard about 08 and all the legit pkers with the awesome items makes me wanna go back there!

I started sometime before 1.06 but back then I borrowed the game off a friend so I play dII while he played LoD then I bought my own at 1.07.
I personally like the synergy system heaps in 1.10 but 1.09 good points outweigh 1.10.

When I got my battle chest a while ago it came with a tales of sanctuary comic, I rubbed this in my friends face cause he liked the game a lot more than me a wanted some memorabilia.

well good, dont play it, you cant even run or bring up a map in town! makes you feel like ur running around and attacking things with a veryveryvery slow attack speed knife...

dclassic is all bout hacks there. you can hack uber ez. i got tired of it so i went back to sc now d2 :p
