Well, first of all, i declare myself as a novice in mf, the highest % i have had in mf is around 250% in a sorc, getting good items but not the ones i want. The point is this:
I have a friend who have got excellent items (uniques, sets) with less than 100 mf (some times less than 50) in all the characters he has, that really surprised me, i thought: How lucky he is!!, how he do it?
The only difference he has with me (acording my observations in the way we play): is that he usually kill monsters in battles hand-to-hand, so i wonder if this must be consider to get good item? i found this too, but im not sure: the time for killing the enemy.. if you kill a strong monster as fast as you can, i wonder if the items it drops will be good? :confused:

most mf depends on the difficulty of the game, difficulty of the creature. the amount of people in the game, stat level and mf%.
the paladin i have only has chancegloves for the mf and i play in 6 player games in hell. i usually go after ancient kaa the souless (Unraveler), Sarina the Battlemaid (corrupt rogue), Snapchip Shatter (frozen horror) and find very good things

i know how you feel the mf on my asia paladin is huge and it isnt helping. its about 1149

r those scenarios or certain maps? Im not familiar with them.. my game is in spanish

its the names of the new super unique creatures that were added to the game. their drop rate is equal to diablo and usually drop exceptional unique and elite unique.

the reason why u dont find as good uniqs/set with 500+ mf is because it is better chance of finding MAGICAL items so if u hav too much mf all u find is blu magic items
BTW TRAYNE were r those super uniqs found?

Unique is considered a magical item. The strings on magic find are set in levels of 4. After the final level was passed, It will start over at negative 25. I would put up the level limits but it would take too long to dig through ini files to show the levels.
Gaz_321 the superunique creatures are found in hell from acts 1-5. They come out randomly sorta like the diablo clone. But when they are found, it is well worth the effort to kill them.

i hav heard off most sites its in only bnet games . And at begin of 1.10 i saw dia clone about 6 or 7 times and i tried playing single and he never appeared :confused:

to Gaz_321 to find items with no mf, try the frozen tundras of act 5, the icey cellar, and the PE
to Soulhealer: you can find diablo clone on anywhere. he appears very rarely at random.

How much vitality it has? same as the real Diablo? find it anywhere, you mean in any act?

the clone has twice as much as the normal diablo. he usually appears in bloodmoor.

hey, since your on the discussion of mf, my lvl 23 sorc, (brand new) uses gull dagger, and 38% chance guards for mf, my friend was killing mephisto for me, and he let me have the finishing blow, just for shits and giggles, but when i killed mephisto, he dropped an eth hell slayer, and a doom bringer, 7000 gold, and a magical balrog skin... my friend shit his pants... so what i think... is maybe if u have more than 50 mf, and less than around 300, it may work better? maybe its coincidence, but iunno...

thats how it usually works.
