Zonfire;Hero editor new edition off the downloads site...There the same thing...
1. Download it
2. install it
3. run it
4. make a character edit stats add items
5. save
6. enjoy your l33t character

By the way, you must edit a character that has been in a game, and have left via the "Save and Leave" button, or it will not be able to be edited in Hero Editor (aka Zonfire)

The easiest way to get the items is to download Blackwolf's Drop 'n' Dupe Mod. It is on this site, just look under Mods. Uniques and Sets will always drop, so you can easily have a good item to start editing when u start up Hero Editor.
As for the best version of Hero Editor, I'd have to say is .80, at least thats what I think it is .. That's what it said when I downloaded it frlom this site.
