Well, despite my efforts of staying away, i just couldn't be arsed because ive had an idea, all i ever see on the main page thread activity is questions on YAMB and bots, Maybe someone like silver ice or anyone else, Can take a look at all the question most freqeuntly asked, and make a thread answering those question, possibly stickying it, It would save a lot of threads being made, i also had an idea for new memebers that join up, Maybe, after they have joined they could be re-directed toa splash page, That showed them the rules and most importantly teach them how to use the search function, it would save A HECK of a lot of time.

yea they should have a rule, no post in like 1 week = delete and put up a vacation mode so if something happens then they could put their acc into vacation

very good ideas. i think we need to have an organized "containing all of these ideas" PM to spit, and ches, perhaps? they'd be the ones to implement the splash page, which i think is a really good idea.

Definitely the 0 posts = deletion thing, if they haven't posted anything in a week I doubt they even remember this place.. so just get rid of 'em, then you'd actually get an accurate member count too!

i agree with abiosis...in my absence, i would check back once a day and on the main page every day i checked there were at least 3 questions about d2jsp or yamb...so if someone could write a faq for it that would be great...ii'd do it but i have about zero knowledge of bots because i don't use them...i'll pay points for someone to do it...I think it would be a good idea as well to delete the members that arn't active and have zero posts but i think that only and admin can do that...so would be a lot of work for chesh or spit.

Even if an FAQ was written, noone would bother reading it. I think Abioisis' idea of the splash page is really good. Would save tons of people from asking stupid questions.

yeah i guess you're right about the faq...heavensguardian wrote a really good faq about points and stuff and there are still always questions about points and such...the splash page would be a good idea but that's once again up to spit or chesh...
