join a game, press escape, press options, video options, then click on resolution

Do you seriously think we didn't know that ?
And, I believe you can edit all you want, but will never get the game to successfully play D2 in a higher resolution then 800 X 600.

although if you view it or play it in -w mode, it is smaller and thus seems clearer...i've noticed that it looks nicer in -w mode. it's not actually a better res, just looks like it.

Blizzard did not design the game to run in 1024x768 so if you somehow found a way it would be stretched out of shape orbe blank around the edges
