maxing order for ES/FO sorc - Teh ub3r 7uck3r - 02-24-2005
My skill layout:
20 icebolt
20 frozen orb
20 energy shield
20 telekinesis
9 cold mastery
1 static
1 warmth
prerequisites
I have a level 36 wand with 75 charges of lower resist on my switch to break Cold Immunity.
My question is: What order do I max these, and how should i put the points into them as I level?

This is what I'd do.
Level Icebolt until you are able to get Telekenesis. 1 point in that. Then continue dumping points until you are able to use Energy Shield. Put 1 in Orb and start maxing Energy Shield. Then start maxing Telekenesis, then finish off Ice Bolt and Orb. Rest into Cold Mastery. Oh, I almost forgot. 1 in Warmth (duh!). Static is nice if you PvM a lot.

I would set the skill this way:
Level1-5(exstra skill from Evil Den)
1 Warmth
1 Ice Bolt
1 Frozen Armor
1 Charged Bolt
Level 6-11
1 Ice Blast
1 Frost Nova
1 Static Field
1 Telekinesis
Level12-17(skill from Radament)
1 Shiver Armor
1 Lightning
Level 18-23(skill from Izzual)
1 Teleport
1 Glacial Spike
1 Chain Lightning
Level 24-29
1 Blizzard
1 Energy Shield
Level 30-52
20 Frozen Orb
20 Cold Mastery
Level 52+
Max Telekinesis
Use the rest of the time to focus in Ice Bolt.
This is how i always done my FO/ES sorc, and they get quite the power. Hope this helped you.

dont max energy shield jsut max telekinesis, my friend said that when u max telekinesis u get teh max mana percent absorbtion without maxing energy shield, that woudl save ur 20 skill points for soemthing else

Points into telekinesis make you loose lesser mana that you would without.

With 16 points in Telekinesis, one point of damage absorbed equals one point of mana loss - a 100% ratio.
