Tooting my own horn and such. - dL.Priest - 03-20-2005

Hello, just stumbled onto your site on my quest for Runeword knowledge, thought I might make myself part of your community if you'll have me.

If it suits you, you can call me Priest.

Looking forward to sharing ideas and learning via the magic of forums.

Whoops, sorry forgot this wasn't a science forum..my bad.

Yo yo my niggaz I r teh Priest respect dat shiznat!

Kidding, you'll get none of that witless banter out of me.

To give this thread a little purpose, Does anyone have a little anecdote they'd like to share about something that occured while playing Diablo 2?

Well, Toodles and such.

Tooting my own horn and such. - Silver Ice - 03-20-2005

*sigh* the very first post u make and nobody reads the rules anymore... i deem u ilikelilkids .

Tooting my own horn and such. - Foog - 03-20-2005

ouch...don't be so harsh, silver. i mean, nobody reads the rules anymore. at least he types with punctuation, in sentences sorta, and in correct english. whatever the case may be, priest, welcome to the forums and try to read and follow the rules.

Tooting my own horn and such. - Silent_killers - 03-20-2005

Care to tell us the rule he has broken?

Tooting my own horn and such. - Silver Ice - 03-20-2005

well this thread has no purpose.... its not a greeter thread its just saying hi.... make a greeter thread if u wanna say hi

i credit nubli for deleting all the useless ones.

Tooting my own horn and such. - Silent_killers - 03-20-2005

Well yeah, but you can't really say any topics have a purpose anymore...

Tooting my own horn and such. - dL.Priest - 03-20-2005

The thread now has purpose.

Do you have something against me?
Or is it that I appear to be an easy target, you know a new guy on the forum with no one to back him if he were to enter into a flamewar.

Perhaps you are trying to make yourself look better by making me look bad? To what end? Are you trying to raise yourself up on some imaginary social ladder by creating the illusion that you are better than me?

Whatever the case may be, No I did not read the rules as most rules seem to be universal from forum to forum, No blatant profanity..no trolling, keep spats to a minimum and just common sense.

I do apologize if this GREATLY affected your day and just disturbed you so bad that you had to try to take me down a peg.

I dub thee "AttentionBeast"

Tooting my own horn and such. - Silver Ice - 03-20-2005

thats very nice calling mods attention beasts.... maybe ill get someone to give u a little vacation from here.... no im just here to try n get people to read the rules and stop spamming... your new, u didnt get a parade when u joined other then the forum saying "welcome our newest member", people will get to know u anyway..... spammers stick out, but so do good people. yes your new but u dont need people to back you on a flamewar if you know your right. a smart person actually knows what hes talking about in an argument and has valid points, therefore not needing the assistance of anyone to fight his battles, but ill assume u just didnt realize that. do i pick on easy targets? no im not picking on you. if i was picking on you, you would know it, which makes me ponder why u think i'm picking on you.....when i just sighed and stated that u didnt read the rules.. if you are paranoid then you might think im out to get u. but im not. im just here to be a model member and the best char development mod this site has ever seen. i merely, ask people to follow rules, it is up to you to do so. i see u found the edit button. thats good... now all u need is a spell checker and u can check the dictionary on the word "spats" and see if anything comes up. cuz frankly, i don't know what the heck a spat is, other than the past tense of spitting. i.e "i spat at him". now ill end my rambling.

yes i do have an anectedote to share about d2. some guy asked if anyone had free items.. and another guy said "yeah, the monsters have plenty"

i find whats even funnier then this guys post... is his correct......

a spat makes no actual sense in the sentence that you were saying.... i.e. try saying something like "there was a spat in the gym" maybe that makes sense.
also, i alternate by using u and you.... so even the most foreign individual can deduce that, by knowing what you means, that u is an abbreviated form of you. if you need further clarity in this subject, i suggest english 12.

and ps: if you want you could read the rules again..... and talk using pms instead of filling up the thread with "spats" as u call them.

i think you should go and look at the flamewars thread. see that is the only place where fights and long arguments are usually permitted.

yes doing something constructive would be fun. and perhaps that you can indicate an error in my text other than the notion that i use u instead of you frequently.

and reaper: owned??????? hardly.
maybe if i was 12, then i'd use those terms

Tooting my own horn and such. - dL.Priest - 03-20-2005

Do not tell me to use a spellchecker when you are using "u" inplace of "you"

If you do not find that enough Silver, here.

" if you know your right. a smart person actually knows what hes talking about in an argument and has valid points, therfore not needing the assistance of anyone to fight his battles, but ill assume u just didnt realize that."

spat4
n.
  1. A brief quarrel. <------- (!)
  2. Informal. A slap or smack.
  3. A spattering sound, as of raindrops.
And "spats" does make perfect sense in that sentance, seeing as how it's just another word for quarrels.

I take it you missed a few days of "english 12".

I already have, if you'll kindly re-read what I had placed in the quotes you will notice that therefore is not spelled correctly.

But who am I to nitpick on one persons gramatical errors, Lord knows I make hundreds per day.

And before you jump down my throat on my previous nitpick, you'll note that mine was just a retort to your comment about me having the need to aquire a spellchecking utility.

Enough of this. Let's do something constructive.

Woah, Silver watch out, you're getting owned..

Tooting my own horn and such. - Stifle_this - 03-21-2005

toodles and such, thats rather funny. And my advice, refrain from trying to correct peoples grammar or punctuation as it will only result in more useless flames and attacks on one another. Other than that, welcome to the site, and please be nice.

Tooting my own horn and such. - Lux Aeterna - 03-21-2005

Stifle, I use correct grammar and punctuation, and I don't ever flame =O nor do I get flamed.

Tooting my own horn and such. - Tool - 03-21-2005

He's saying don't correct people's bad grammar and spelling otherwise that might bring about conflict.

I'm guessing Priest really is a priest or something... Or really religious... Or something..........

Tooting my own horn and such. - SDSnyper - 03-21-2005

lol supWink

Tooting my own horn and such. - dL.Priest - 03-21-2005

Thanks for all the nice comments.

Nope, I'm not a priest but I do enjoy certain parts of the roman catholic religion.
The Bible is a good read, infact The Book of Revelations is one of the better pieces
of writing I've had the privelage to lay my eyes on.

But when it comes to what I worship? Well my friends I worship P. Cubensis mycellium and my altar is a petri dish filled with agar. I build my church upon a bed of straw and dung. And I pray to my God by consuming him, much like catholics (Jesus was God, He was God and Man..it is his duality)

I did not come to "pwn" anyone. I came to share knowledge and have a few laughs.

Now If you'll excuse me I have to go hitch a ride on the information superhighway with my piddly 56k connection.

My hero. You have my respect.

Welcome to the forums, Priest.

Thank you PantallicA.

Quick sidenote here,

PANTERA Rules.

I saw them in Duluth along time ago when they were promoting "The Great Southern Trendkill" they were amazing.

That was the show where halfway through Sandblasted Skin Rex dropped his bass.

Thanks again,

Tooting my own horn and such. - PantallicA - 03-21-2005

I've seen one of the spinoff bands, Damageplan, twice. I've met the band both times and I loved every second of it.

I'm still waiting for Superjoint Ritual to tour.

Anyway, back on topic Tongue
