HeXeD Name - :[.:/King\:.]: - 04-09-2005 Hey i say some people with hexed names and there colored and with letters like éìqéâ n stuff and i was wondering how to do it like if u need hero editor or something please tell me HeXeD Name - A|fzZz - 04-09-2005 Ive never seen anyone with coloured names... U sure u mean the names and not profile? lol.. HeXeD Name - :[.:/King\:.]: - 04-09-2005 yes there name i already know how to color my profile its on open bnet HeXeD Name - painkiller - 04-10-2005 this is simple to do, but it doesnt require a hex editor, so i dont know why you would call it a a "hexed name" first of all you have to understand you can only do this with chars for single player/open because eralm chars files are stored on bnet servers (or blizzard servers whatever) so anyway first of all you need 2 things. you need to have a diablo 2 char thats ver 1.09 then you also need eric jerwins d2 stats editor. ok, now, go to your 1.09 chars .d2s file inside your save folder which is usually located here: c:\program files\diablo II\save\ if you dont know where your save folder is, i cant help you ! anyway once you find your chars .d2s file you can rename him to whatever you want and you can also add the color here. the way you add color is by putting ÿc# before your chars name the # can be any number and this number is what color its gonna be. for example 1= red 2= green 3= blue 4= gold(unique) and so forth also for the number spot : is dark green and ; is purple. The way you get the wierd lookin y character is you hold alt and press 0255 on your number pad. so if i want a char named painkiller and i want it to be in purple letters his name would look like this: ÿc;Painkiller now the reason you have to go into your save folder to do this is cause when you make a new char in d2 the game wont allow you to use any ascii chars or whatever. now after you rename your char thats not all. youll find that after you rename your char if you try and join a game it will give you error that says somethin like Bad, Generic File. This is the reason we need ej's d2 stats editor. And the reason you have to have a 1.09 char is cause ej's stats editor only works with 1.09 chars. So i would have to make sure mine said ÿc;Painkiller the easiest way is just to copy and paste your name. Then once your done, save your char and join a game and have fun. One thing you should know is that once youve got yourself a colored name you can only host games, you cant join games. You can get the stats editor from here: mewgood.com or ladderhall.com You can get a 1.09 char from here: ladderhall.com when you get to the ladder hall main page you will notice on the right hand side of the screen theres a button for eric jwin thats where you will find the chars and his editor. The actual name of the editor is eric jwins d2 stats editor (or somthin like that lol) or if you absolutely cant find it pm me and ill send you it. Hope this helps. HeXeD Name - painkiller - 04-11-2005 last night i found out you can get a 1.09 char using zonfire, u just go to extras, then create new item/char HeXeD Name - painkiller - 04-22-2005 one thing i would like to know is how come this guy asking how to do this is an elite knight and me (the one that knows how) is just a knight? lol HeXeD Name - Silent_killers - 04-22-2005 You have less posts.
