Wish i could give you a definitive answer guy, but i only played Amazon once for about 10 levels.
I ended up going Javalins and such because i could still use them in close combat :p
On the other hand the Merc i have for my main character is bows and i wouldn't give her spears even if i could... Hmm. I'd probably have to vote Javazon if it's for a player character though

yea a javazon is good with a rogue merc but i like bowazons and dont multi thread

i prefer bowazon, the can solo hell easily with a botd and a strong valk

based on the new runewords i'd have to say a bowazon is stronger, and maybe a bit faster. but both builds can solo hell... since javazons can use cs which also has physical dmg.

TRUE BUT i wasbnt thinking of an ebotd. i was talking about a magezon with a faith. they do great damage and yes they solo well in hell
