How do you use a hammerdin during duels? I dueled w/ my hammerdin the other day, and would occasionally kill a barb; he'd kill me more often though, because I had no idea how to duel using a hammerdin. I'd just stand there and summon hammers, run and do it again, but when I run he hits me.

well first of all u must never attempt to run from a barb doing ww. when u run ur block chance goes down dramaticly. U also need good blocking + enigma, as u should tele instead of runin. and last and the certainly the most obvious thing :: good Gear.

hammerdins dont duel. period. any hammerdin that actually tries to duel just teles and casts hammers around trying to kill people in the low chance... barbarians will only die if u tele in 1 spot and start spamming hammers, if a barb teles to you and tries to ww they will most likely die.

Stand still or walk, hammer. About all you can do. Or can Hammer/Charge away/Hammer. Get high Def though, lots of Dex

WOW! I've seen two posts saying hammerdins cant pvp. Get a char and duel me right now.... thats a ****ing joke.
As for dueling barbs they usually WW away from you so use charge to desynch then tele infront of them and hammer away.
If you're loosing to a barb on a hammerdin make another char, its just wrong.:confused:
I see that you're classic, you can still charge and desynch and instead of tele infront just charge infront and you'll desynch and they wont see what hit them. Or if you can get an ammy with tele charges or whatever.

if u want to be sure to survive a barbs ww simply put a ss on and spam hammers, tele ww all u want, 2hammers can kill a barb with 5k, maybe 3 for 6k life, and i recently heard hammers ignore magic resistances so... gD

Recasting druids OWN hammerdins 1038209743974-0, if a druid loses to hammer they should never play d2 again. Same with stacking necs, but they cant recast so they are a bit easier than druids, but should still not loose to hammers.

Hammerdins are only good for
1. Spamming in front of town
2. Vs zealers and smiters, other melee (you have to spam hammers before they start attacking though)
If you don't have enigma all you can really do is camp somewhere and spam hammers. Just spam a couple hammers walk a little to the side, spam more, and repeat so that it's harder to find an opening.

if ur hammerdin dont face people who can hit u from a ranged distance b/c ur screwed b/c hammerdins can attack and run at cast hammers at the time the only time hammerdins atre good against pvp is if they fast melle characters b/c they can stand in on placeand cast hammer like crazy and when the melllee chara comes in the get pooned but otherwise hammerdins suck for pvp (personally i use my hammerdin for pvm/mfing)
