Socketing - Gaccett - 03-02-2004

im not a noob u noob. in zonefire editor u can socket rings and amulets and if u dont know that then u should probably pull ur head out of ur ars.

Socketing - n3kk1d-l337 - 03-02-2004

Gaccet he said he was joking... anyways you CAN socket rings and amulets with editors however you cannot put anything in them in the game. All it shows is the item as etheral.

Socketing - Nubli - 03-02-2004

you cant socket rings/ammys with hero editor, ive tried. even if it did work the game would crash instantly.

Socketing - Gaccett - 03-02-2004

someone said they saw one so that proves{unless thier lying} they exist. (see thread question on aura's)

Socketing - _Out_Ta_Get_Ya_ - 03-02-2004

I've gotten it to work Big Grin Alls ya gatta do is socket the ring/ammy then go to extras in the magic attribute window click on increase sockets this should put 16 sockets in it. Next all u gatta do is put the jewels or runes in it in game ... the most u can have is 7 or it resets back to 1 so just leave the extra sockets empty. In the real game the item wont show up as being socketed but the stats on the item will be and u shouldnt get ne arrors or atleast i dont ... from what i believe if u can socket these i bet ya can socket charms ill figure that out and get back to ya

Socketing - _Out_Ta_Get_Ya_ - 03-02-2004

~~~make sure u go to magic attributes and increase sockets if u dont u wont be able to put nething in them ... hope that helps
this forum is bots and editors. open is the most logical assumption to make when discussing topics here.
As I said in another post:
Using Hero Editor, you can socket rings and amulets. If the Quality is Low, Normal or Superior, you can fill 6 sockets. If the Quality is Magical, Unique, Set, Rare, or Crafted, then you can fill 7 sockets. I haven't checked it out, but I have heard that sometimes rings will only "use" the attributes from the first 6 sockets. You must socket the rings and amulets in Hero Editor; it is not possible to socket them in a D2 game.
And if you didn't know, you can make Ith jewels and socket them in items. As long as they are socketed in items, the D2 game won't delete them. Using Ith jewels allows you to double the number of attributes. So, for example, you can put Level 31 Holy Shock in the Magic list, and put Level 31 Holy Shock in the Rune Magic list, to get Level 62 Holy Shock. If you put 7 Ith jewels into an amulet, just this one attribute can therefore be stacked to get Level 465 Holy Shock [(1 + 7*2) * 31 = 465].
Now, as far as what can NOT be socketed: boots, gloves, belts, viper amulet, charms, simple items(e.g. Runes), throwing weapons, and a few others.
unless u make a mod for it that drops the socketed shit like gloves, belts, etc.
read a FAQ bout it somewhere
