OMG! ARREAT SUMMIT! MY HEAD IS GOING TO EXPLODE!

heres the website to cube recipes bud: http://www.battle.net/diablo2exp/items/cube.shtml

scroll down, you'll find the upgrading recipes eventually. the recipe changes based on whether its an armor (this includes ANY type of armor; body armor, helms, gloves, belts, sheilds, etc) or a weapon and if its normal, exceptional (if its elite it can't be upgraded any more). if you're playing nonladder you can only up from normal to exceptional; if you play ladder you can upgrade from normal to exceptional, then another recipe for exceptional to elite.

upgrading does NOT change the mods of the item; it only changes the defense or the damage based upon the base damage of that upped kind of item (so like if you are on ladder and you are upping a shaftstop (mesh armor), which is exceptional, upping it will add defense based on the base defense of a boneweave (elite version). so in the end, it will still be a shaftstop with all its same mods, but the defense will be higher. also, the required level, strength, and dexterity goes up as well based on the requirements of a boneweave.
