A Editor and Version Question - Aleksi Draguer - 08-16-2005

Hi, I was wondering if anyone here could take some time answering a little question of mine..

You see, I haven't played Diablo II in a loooooong time, and I forgot most of what I have done. When it worked, I used Jamella alot and I was pretty unstopable, but then the update to v1.10 I think made Jamella stuff not work and stat boosts couldn't go higher than 1024 (I think, like I said I haven't played Diablo in a long time now).

I am thinking about re-installing Diablo II software and I was wondering if anyone could help me with this question:

How can I play Diablo II online with others as a 1.09 version character so I can use Jamella? A list of the necessary modules, editors(Jamella of course), and anything else I would need would be great, because I already know saving a 1.09 v character in a editor like Shadow whatever or Zonfire's Hero Editor would defiently change the char's v to 1.10 (I tried before). Please also if there is anything else I need to know please tell me if you will, thank you!!!

I am assuming I would have to make a character in v 1.09 first, but how can I connect to Battle.net with the v.109 character without Diablo forcing me to update like it does??

Thanks, also, would Hex Editing be useful even for a v 1.09 character? If so, I should find a guide because I already know Hex.

Oh yes, and sorry about sooo many questions, but here's one more... For now:

I have seen people in Battle.net as monster characters before! One guy with like a skeleton or something with brown robes on, not sure, I haven't played in a while, but he was running around outside of town saying: "Ahahahaha I am invincable I am invincable ahahaha llolzozlozlzolzolz", and then some hacked Amazon ran up, shot him with a magical arrow and pwned him, but that is all I remember of the character, I asked him how but he said it was a secret and that he was invincable (which he had already spammed twice).

THANKS FOR READING!

The reason why I asked this is because I met people on
v 1.10 that used Jamella and said they were godly because
of that and used Zonfire to edit their weps/items/charms
w/e. Isn't there a Zonfire button that lets you edit characters
like v1.09 but it still changes to v1.10 when you save? Hmm...
Anyways that is why I asked and it seems alot of people
here still use Jamella and it is still for d/l on the internet!!

Ah well, guess it is obvious then.. Jamella can't be used anymore since update.

A Editor and Version Question - Enano - 08-20-2005

well i use hero editor and i can use 09's but u have to do this little trick to keep them from getting upgraded after u save and exit a game.
you simply do this
1. make sure ur editor with ur char file is open while u play
2. after u save and exit from a game go into editor and save so ur char will stay 09
3. taa da that easy
but i dont reccomend u use a 09 because ppl will yell at u
if u want i could tell u how to make a good guy in 1.11
just email me at [email protected] if u have any questions

Oh, well thanks for answering my thread. Smile
And I will E-Mail you if you don't mind, because I am
not that experienced with 1.11, if I get the time.

Thanks. Smile

POSTSCRIPT: I am still a little confused on the process because..
Well, the way you said it isn't really clear to me. But I'll send
you an E-Mail like you said to see if the idea I got is right..
