Lyrics if anyone likes to sing: ( Lyrics from www.sing365.com )

You know that it would be untrue
You know that I would be a liar
If I was to say to you
Girl, we couldn't get much higher
Come on baby, light my fire
Come on baby, light my fire
Try to set the night on fire
The time to hesitate is through
No time to wallow in the mire
Try now we can only lose
And our love become a funeral pyre
Come on baby, light my fire
Come on baby, light my fire
Try to set the night on fire, yeah
The time to hesitate is through
No time to wallow in the mire
Try now we can only lose
And our love become a funeral pyre
Come on baby, light my fire
Come on baby, light my fire
Try to set the night on fire, yeah
You know that it would be untrue
You know that I would be a liar
If I was to say to you
Girl, we couldn't get much higher
Come on baby, light my fire
Come on baby, light my fire
Try to set the night on fire
Try to set the night on fire
Try to set the night on fire
Try to set the night on fire

XIZ OMG YOU POSTED ABOUT SMOKING MARIJUANA OMG IM SO SXE AND EDGE AND OFFENDED YOU MUST BE BANNED NOW.

My favorite song would be
Immortal Technique & Akir - One(Remix)
It's hiphop/rap, on the album Revolutionary Vol. 2, and it was released in '03.

The lyrics are as follows..

[Intro]
[Akir:] Yo tech, it's the last call baby it's good

[Immortal Technique:] Yeah, you know a remix just feels
right dog?

[Akir:] Before we get outta here, you gotta drop one last
gem on them
Knahmsayin?

[Immortal Technique:] No question, it's like the elders
told me
No one person can do anything, but everyone can do something
So we gotta rep, for all the niggaz that ain't here right now

[Akir:] The outro tip, the One Remix, yo

[Akir]
One Enterprises, comprises the artist and the sound
The pen and paper plays my savior while I'm getting down
Pray for my nieghbors as a favor for holding me down
Slave for my papers as I savor the way that it pounds
It's underground, but the blatent vibrations widely found
Facing the nation complacent radio stations now
Stop hesitaing and contemplating the way we paitient
Start motivating and get them playin the shit we sayin
Ain't no delayin in this war that we gettin slayed in
Cause times a waistin while we stand adjacent to abrasions
They fouls are more than flagrant
And so I see the prisons cages while I pound the pavement
Looking for payment saying f**k enslavement
Usin the tools of old ancients
Announcing my engagment to this music that we making
Ain't no faking on tracks, and we ain't never come wack
(never!)
Immortal Technique and Akir y'all niggaz fear us that's a wrap
It's like

[Hook]
One love
One music
One people
One movement
One heart
One spark
One, One, One, One
One gift
One lift
One stance
One shift
One way
One day
One, One, One, One, One

[Immortal Technqique]
Immortal Technique in the trenches with my nigga Akir
Our family surived the genocides so we can be here
And now we enterprise the aftermath, one in the same
Living the revolution 'till we catch one in the brain
And even then my spirit will return in heavenly form
And wipe the chess board clean, of my enemies pawns
The red don communist threat, burried and gone
So they invented a war, the goverment can carry on
It makes me wonder if the word of god is lost in the man
This is for the children of Iraq, lost in the sand
This is for the illest emcees that'll never be known
And this is for all the soliders that'll never come home
I wrote this for Momia, stuck in a beast
For people who, march in the streets, and struggle for peace
For hood niggaz, born rugged, never rocking Versace
Eddie Ramierez's cousin George, and my old friend Sashi
Chris from the block, and all my niggaz stuck in a cell
Paul Wolfowitz, motherf**ker I'll see you in hell
My destiny is to show the world, that the music is real
Go back in time and play this shit, for the slaves in the field
And for my children in the future, waiting to breathe
People slowly dying hanging on, waiting to leave
Believe when I'm gone, and this album's on a library shelf
I'll be one with god and one with you and everything else

[Hook]

[Immotal Technique talking]
Yeah..
Revolutionary Volume 2 has been brought to you
By the type of motherf**kers who ain't scared of shit
And if you playing this album, and I'm no longer here
And sometime far away from when I recorded this
Remember that history
Isn't the way the corperate controlled media made it look like
Read between the lines and free your mind
Revolution is the birth of equality
And the anti-thesis to oppression
But this is only built for real motherf**kers
So when I'm gone, don't let nobody I never got along with
Try to make songs kissing my a-s, recycling my beats or my
vocals
The shit is real over here man
Thank you for listening, and thank you for supporting
independent Hip Hop
The heart and soul of our culture
Keeping the truth alive
Goodnight my people.. goodnight..

Why do I like it? People always say hiphop and rap is useless bullshit with no real message. It requires no talent, etc. How many songs can say something this strong and meaningful in 4 and a half minutes? Seriously?

That's why I like Technique so much

Hmm.

L'arc en ciel.
Ready steady go.

READY STEADY CAN'T HOLD ME BACK
READY STEADY GIVE ME GOOD LUCK
READY STREADY NEVER LOOK BACK
LET'S GET STARTED READY STEADY GO

Sceneries being blown away seem to whirl in front of me
Even if I get desperate, I won't overlook my target anymore

An unreliable map should be burnt
I'll grasp onto the buried truth with my hands

I came running frantically -hastily-
The throb of my heartbeats feels deafening enough to burst
Your voice is echoing -shouting-
There's no time to be like standing still here
READY STEADY GO

Even if my countless wounds get hugged
For a moment and gently, I won't let my soul get taken
On the other side of that hill, if I met you
I'd only think about what to start talking from

I came running frantically -hastily-
The throb of my heartbeats feels deafening enough to burst
Your voice is echoing -shouting-
There's no time to be like standing still here
READY STEADY GO

READY STEADY CAN'T HOLD ME BACK
READY STEADY GIVE ME GOOD LUCK
READY STREADY NEVER LOOK BACK
LET'S GET STARTED READY STEADY GO

My heart -runs- underneath that sky
I can't stop my idle feelings from crying out
Surely I'll -reach- you in a little while
The sunlight shines hotly across this path
READY STEADY GO
PLEASE. TRUST ME.

Transliterated by Magus Darkstar
That is an english translation. the original is japanese. I'd post the romaji but its pointless.

This is kind of..another spam thread, WHO CARES! I have many favourites, but this is my most recent one

Astronomy Domine - Pink FLoyd

It ****ing defines the psychedelic era of music

1967 was the origional recording, the first song on Pipers at the Gates of Dawn and i is so sweet.

My current favourite, my favourite version would either be the "smoking blues" or "Pulse" versions, there is a scream, but it sounds like a man saying "Weeeee" in it, and that part gives my tinglies all over my happy parts.

Lime and limpid green the second scene
the fights between the bleu you once knew
floating down the sound resounds
around the icy waters underground

Jupiter and Saturn, Oberon,Miranda and
Titanian, Neptune, Titan, stars can frighten

Winding signs flap
flicker flicker flicker flam pow pow
stairway scare Dan dare who's there?
blindman limpid green the sound
surrounds the icy waters on the
lime and limpid green the sound
surrounds the icy waters underground

Favorite Song... - Colti - 08-27-2005

my fav would have to be...

Stairway to Heaven-Led Zeppelin
well....genre is hard for this band but...classic rock/metal/folk/physkadelic/indian/almost everything else
year is prob like 1973-1975 i think

led zeppelin showed that "hard rock bands" could expand their music styles.....they set the standards.....and no1 has yet to reach them

Tool - Eulogy
Metal/Hard rock
1996

He had alot to say.
He had alot of nothing to say.
We'll miss him.

So long.
We wish you well.
You told us how you weren't afraid to die.
Well then, so long.
Don't cry.
Or feel too down.
Not all martyrs see divinity.
But at least you tried.

Standing above the crowd,
He had a voice that was strong and loud.
We'll miss him.
Ranting and pointing his finger
At everything but his heart.
We'll miss him.

No way to recall
What it was that you had said to me,
Like I care at all.

So loud.
You sure could yell.
You took a stand on every little thing
And so loud.

Standing above the crowd,
He had a voice so strong and loud and I
Swallowed his facade cuz I'm so
Eager to identify with
Someone above the ground,
Someone who seemed to feel the same,
Someone prepared to lead the way, with
Someone who would die for me.

Will you? Will you now?
Would you die for me?
Don't you ****in lie.

Don't you step out of line.
Don't you ****in lie.

You've claimed all this time that you would die for me.
Why then are you so surprised to hear your own eulogy?

You had alot to say.
You had alot of nothing to say.

Come down.
Get off your ****in cross.
We need the ****in space to nail the next fool martyr.

To ascend you must die.
You must be crucified
For your sins and your lies. [sic]
Goodbye...

Favorite Song... - EpiQ - 08-30-2005

Slipknot - Left Behind

Favorite Song... - Mr. Fabulous - 08-31-2005

John Lennon: Imagine
Released in 1971

Imagine
Imagine there's no heaven,
It's easy if you try,
No hell below us,
Above us only sky,
Imagine all the people
living for today...

Imagine there's no countries,
It isnt hard to do,
Nothing to kill or die for,
No religion too,
Imagine all the people
living life in peace...

Imagine no possesions,
I wonder if you can,
No need for greed or hunger,
A brotherhood of man,
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world...

You may say Im a dreamer,
but Im not the only one,
I hope some day you'll join us,
And the world will live as one

This song really has the best lyrics and message I've ever heard.

Second favorite is APC: The Noose / The Doors: House of the Rising Sun.
