dude u dont use an upped eth HOZ, When u up and eth HOZ it goes down..... it sucks n all but just use somin else, just up a non eth Zak, it can be like 560 def, i had one, luckily my friend lost all my shit, i have to say that cause im still not over him doin that... NEways... a vt as in...... foh then attack? ionno exactly wat u mean, just dont use eth upped hoz, Also BTW with shield the dmg is same non eth or eth it dont matter, smite is like that, just trying to help, peace

Basically, a V/T is supposed to be a smiter/foh, he uses FoH primarily, causing good players to put on sorb equpment. As we all know, sorb equipment can take some punch and some serious bulk off of a character. This is where the V/T shines. He makes em switch then smites em and says Noob, PWND Mo****a!!!

only thing i can tell u... use asterons.... gives 4+ or 3+ 2 the foh and it kinda adds dmg 2 ur smite.... i don make V/T pallies, i make foh/hammerdin Smile

You're right, they fixed that bug, when you upgrade ethereal items they now gain the ethereal bonus, so don't pay attention to that other guy's post. [Image: tongue%281%29.gif]

use grief instead or ur dmg wont even compare to a grief smiter. ull get enough +skills with pcombats so ur foh will be fine. dont split foh and shock, just do all foh.. ull get more dmg. i would also use ber'd up'd noneth hoz and ber ur shako as well.. that way u get 39% dr.

At higher levels, FoH gets more damage from splitting between FoH and Shock. See for yourself at http://www.d2items.com/skills.php

Well, considering the damage that Grief gives, I focused more on FoH than Smite, since I'd end up with high Smite without having to max that or Holy Shield. My damage matches up to that of a "pure smiter" without having to go "pure smite".

I maxed FoH and Shock first, which saved me the trouble of "optimizing" or whatever. Then I worked on Smite and Holy Shield, keeping Smite about 5 lvls ahead of HS. Testing has shown that points in Smite add more damage than points in HS, but I decided to add a few more points in HS so my defense doesn't fall behind.

Currently (lvl 86), my FoH does 5.4k and Smite does 8k. I will add points to Smite from now on.

That's mostly an issue of gear choices I think. I can't find a lot of other explanations for my frequent wins against smiters (in straight smite duels). If in fact a smiter beats me in smite damage, there's a good chance I'll beat him in the amount of life, not to mention I have an unblockable secondary attack.
