Hey, I was wondering. I know where to get fire fox but i need help knowing some things about it. Im using my moms crap *** computer. Its AOL Dial-U... :blank:. Yes I know its dumb, but if I download fire fox for it which will take 587432532759 years.. lol. Will it make this comp any faster. And another question.. if I dl it can I get back my IE incase my mom doesent get pissed at me? Lol sorry if this is in the wrond forum, wasant sure if I should put this in this thread or the Help thread.

The coolness of Firefox might make up for AOL.
Depending on the computer it may or may not be faster, but it should only take an hour to download, two tops. You can still leave IE as the default browser and if you don't want to keep firefox, IE will return anyway so I don't see as there would be a problem.

you might as well try it wont hurt you. firefox is much safer than IE so just think that you are protecting from spyware and stuff that would make your computer even slower with IE

I dont think it would make that big differance if you use firefox instead of IE cuz that you have dial-up, maybe it is SOME differance, just that you wouldnt see it.

Firefox itself wont speed up your computer, because you will still have dial up internet. And just dont uninstall IE incase your mom goes ballistic on you.

I used it back in the dark ages (aka a year ago) when I still had AOL, and noticed a small increase in performance. Plus the interface is much nicer.
