fireclaw druid...bear or wolf? - geves - 10-04-2005 well i was just looking over the guide to fireclaw druids. (which is a sticky in the assassin section for some strange reason.) and i was wondering. why choose bear over wolf. i noticed that in the guide he's using a phase blade with shaels in it. so my question is if he's not going for physical damage and relying on his insanely high fire damage. then why is bear better over wolf? it seems to me that the wolfs attack speed bonuses would help alot more than a damage increase. which would you suggest and why? fireclaw druid...bear or wolf? - The-Grim-Reaper - 10-06-2005 bear is better. u dont need more attack speed with wolf, and bear has a lot more defense and life. fireclaw druid...bear or wolf? - shadowphoenix - 10-07-2005 Quote: so my question is if he's not going for physical damage and relying on his insanely high fire damage. then why is bear better over wolf? if ur following fuggles guide, you're only puttin 1 point into each neways so u can go back n forth. I tend to stick w/ bear because hes faster then wolfy and hes got 18k ar so I rarely need the ar boost from wolf. bear also gives a deff boost albiet small still better then nothin. Also i believe (i might be wrong) that bear has better fhr then wolf. Netime i face an fc wolf they lose to my bear. fireclaw druid...bear or wolf? - a_brick - 10-07-2005 bear, cuz they look cooler. AND with only one point into wolf your attack speed is gonna be bad, even with the +skills. have you seen how slow wolves are in trist norm. i think they have something to make them slower, i have never seen a slow bear before. fireclaw druid...bear or wolf? - Mr Mellow - 11-03-2005 i can mabey tell you if you tell me the Stats and the Skills fireclaw druid...bear or wolf? - SoulessKnight - 11-03-2005 i made one of these last ladder as a bear and it did massive dmg and could kill almost anything/anyone. I am pretty sure being the bear gives you more of a life bonus and also with the 6 shaeled sword you ias is maxed so you don't need to worry about the bear being slower then the wolf fireclaw druid...bear or wolf? - Fuggle - 11-03-2005 Tsk Tsk... Read your sticky's before you post. http://www.blizzsector.co/druid/13631-my-fireclaw-guide-stop-pmin-me.html fireclaw druid...bear or wolf? - Mr Mellow - 11-03-2005 Was that to me or someone else? Fast. True, bears have more life and defense, and don't get much speed restriction (cuz they don't have much speed to restrict), but at higher levels a werewolf fireclaw druid is a hell of a good character, with the fast hits. A good weapon (I've made a few with my custom editor =) will make it even better, giving you massive damage+fire damage, with speed. fireclaw druid...bear or wolf? - TyKe - 12-09-2005 i have a fire claw druid and i use a rare crystal sword that gives massive ar and adds 60% ias fireclaw druid...bear or wolf? - shadowphoenix - 12-09-2005 Lycan Khalumari Wrote:If you put points into werewolf, your attack speed while in werewolf form increases with a certain point per level...If you chain-cast Fireclaws with maxed werewolf, your attack speed should be like....yeah. Fast. I have a fc bear modeled after fuggles and both bear n wolf have one point in them so they are the same lvl after +gear. Wolf is hella slower then bear, and if you max wolf out, your fireclaw damage itself will also be lower since you'll be losing 19 pnts to the fire tree. i already have 18k ar as a bear n wolf only makes it go up to 23k. I guess its all about preference in the end. fireclaw druid...bear or wolf? - A|fzZz - 12-09-2005 Find Atheist on *******. GFG FCer. fireclaw druid...bear or wolf? - commandwolf - 12-09-2005 I would stick with Werebear, i would max shockwave to stun enemies and rape them while they are stunned with fire claw fireclaw druid...bear or wolf? - triple-c - 12-10-2005 I have a 88 FC dru based on the sticked guide -Bear attk is faster -but the wolf is easier to attian FHR then the bear. So you pick the way you want to go. I pick the Wolf 4 smiters and bear for other builds. But thats the only advantage I see to the wolf better I like FHR tho. fireclaw druid...bear or wolf? - A|fzZz - 12-10-2005 I thought wolf's attacks are faster?? fireclaw druid...bear or wolf? - Fuggle - 12-10-2005 A|fzZz Wrote:I thought wolf's attacks are faster??Well if you follow my build, Bear will attack faster no matter what. They have a faster FPS than Wolves. |
