Why do all the wonderful threads get closed?
Every time I come around, I miss a great thread. One chock full of grammatical perfection and excellently executed flames between two people whom I've never even noticed, yet I frequent this board quite often. I speak of this thread in particular:
The one that Nub closed.
As I am making this thread now, I cannot just see what it's called, but it's a great thread created by an awesome baseball player. I really wanted to quote one person's statement and add invaluable information to that thread, but it was closed. I truely believe mods need to leave threads open, that or you dimwitted retards need to learn how to type, talk, and when a thread is lame.
I'm really leaning toward the latter. Guys, we're admittedly in grade-school. Baseball fagboy claimed he was 13. Let's show a little intelligence, okay? I know for a fact they force you to learn the basic subject-verb agreement by 6th grade, and you're pretty fluent with sentences by the time you advance on to high school. Let us embrace this ability; and exercise some common sense.
Nobody gives a shit if you can "ezpk" someone on an internet forum. Nobody cares how many ways you can show the word "faggot" with different spelling and capitalization variations. I seriously doubt anyone cares about anything; it's the internet, it's not quite life, but close. There comes a time where each one of us has to own up and be a man. We must realize when we're a useless retard. One day, we grow up. When we grow past the useless retard phase, it is our duties as humans to try and make our presence tolerable and somewhat knowledgable.
What i'm trying to say is the average level of "give-a-shitness" of this community is horrible. It's quite sad, because I know as humans we have great potential. There's no way you can make posts like this, and pass Pre-K:

This is an amazing example of stupidity. I say this because at certain points, including the title of the thread, I have no idea what the censored word is. I mean, I would love to think it is the B-Word at some point, or even the F-word, with an informal suffix. However, due to the poor writing of the surrounding words, there's a few instances where it's quite impossible to tell.
I'm not even drunk, that says a lot to the few of you who talk to me frequently. Let's step up and atleast make our sub-par insult threads readable.. or, mods, atleast leave them open long enough so I can comment on them and not make even more useless threads.

Good god DBD, you almost brought a tear to my eye.
However, I say we close em as soon as we can. Can't have the noobs spamming up the place.

People always will talk shit, or try and help out creating more spam, and that is why threads are closed. Useless space there. Technically this thread is useless aswell. You're asking to keep threads open that you can talk back to, creating more spam? What's the point in back-talking these people, chances are the best type of come-back they will think up of is 'f*ck you'. Why spam and go off topic to reply to that crap, close it, end it. Also showing up someone, isn't going to prove a thing, we all know the stupidity of things that are said. Almost everytime I warn someone they ask why, saying 'I was just talking back to that idiot'. But guess what, there was no contribution there what-so-ever. Some people might want to talk back to stick up for themselves, so that I can see, but that is also why we close them before they get out of hand. Where do you expect to go when you talk these people down? Will it make you feel better about yourself?

Good job xDBD, although I don't think this will change anything. People think too much with their hands and not enough with their brain. If Tap would have read the post again, he wouldn't have needed to ask that question. I'm also sure that if Nub had read the post again and analyzed it, he wouldn't have seemed like such a douche.
And Trog, I don't agree with xDBD because he's so cool and I love him, I agree with him because of, you know, we share the same point of view.

I agree that one could've stayed open longer. It doesn't appear that kid was banned, but if all he's gonna do is talk like that, he deserved the flaming. However, not all of the pointless spammy flamings are as fun as that one seemed. So it'd be impossible to judge whether or not to close it based on the forum itself and how people would react, so if mods want to have the final word, let them. They seem to guess the correct forum to close more often then not. I suppose you could try to petition to re-open them, but I'm not sure it would do any good.
Does anyone find it funny how he makes the thread in flame wars, totally calls him out, and edits it to say. I'm nice, please don't flame me back? That's like punching a guy and saying peace immediatly afterwards. laughing out loud.

I agree with xDBD on the point that occasionally good threads do get closed... E.g. we were having quite a constructive exchange of thoughts on the "Nazi among us" thread, until it got closed on the basis that race and hate imagery is not tolerated, even though the followers of the thread had gone way past that already...

For anyone else who missed the point that was thinly veiled with sarcasm, this had nothing to do, in actuality, with mods or closed threads. I enjoy coming here enough that when I read a post, I would love to be able to comprehend it.
