ERR Help me with meph bot plz! - CodyB - 03-21-2003
Ok i started using meph botr .91 fixed bug recently downloaded it from here and i usally just turn it on everynight when i sleep but .After so many runs it just stops the game with a unhandled acces violation or delay step or somthin . Is there anything i can edit in the ini file or anything to fix this ? if so just help me plz

Not really sure about that but I do know if you play mephbot to much mephbot will stop dropping good items. I Remember I used to turn it on every night before I sleep also but then I started to get nothing but wizardspike and a couple of charms and jewls made me mad :angry:

Issue
Unhandled Access Violation Exception errors occur when one Windows' application writes into the memory owned by another application (program).
32-bit Windows applications run in a protected memory environment. If an applications writes into the memory owned by another program, an 'Access Violation Exception' error is generated. If this exception is not trapped by the application and processed, an error code is then internally generated and the application is terminated, (the "Unhandled" portion in the error reflects this). When one application intrudes into the memory space used by another application, this is referred to as a 'memory conflict'.
Windows terminates the offending application so that it cannot affect or unexpectedly terminate another program by writing into its memory space.
In terms of Diablo try and close ALL programs not needed.. Messenger... EVERYTHING.
Solution
You can safely restart the application that has terminated without having to reboot the computer in Windows NT since it is a protected memory environment. In Windows 95, you can restart the application as well, but it is recommended you reboot the computer first because the Windows 95 architecture does not protect its own memory as well as Windows NT

sometimes using a seperate comdlg and comclt file in the folder with the bot will override the access violation since it will run a crossover in the writing. but for it to do that you have to disable some of the background programs such as an antivirus or firewall..etc. sucky on occasion but the risk is sometimes necessary for the desperate. if you can make a bios-kiosk aka running 2 windows os on one system [only seen it done once] it will just borrow resources from eachother. think the system has 3 motherboards to do that. not sure howmany v-cards though..

out of topic buh, CodyB, u said u leave ur mephbot on everynight. so ur implying it works. can u tell how to make the bot do something once it logs onto a char. mines jus enters my accnt, logs into char and does nothing at the screen with : ENTER CHAT, etc etc

omg.....this is an extremely old post!
