You got a few options.. 1 - network, 2 - ripping the hd out of the old pc, stick it into the new one and copy, 3- burn the files, 4- USB memory sticks,

those are basicly the best options. you could always email the files, send them to a ftp, etc etc etc..

If the computers are networked, you can use the Files and Settings Transfer Wizard in XP (Start>Programs>Accesories>System Tools>Files and Settings Transfer Wizard), or you could download a 3rd party program to also do this. Otherwise, if removing the old HDD is an option this would be the easiest and fastest.

well if you don't care about the previous computer at all jus make the old drive a slave in the new computer and do your transfering.. but if you want the old computer running i am sure you want net on it.. so then i would go to the store buy a cheap router without wifi and a few patch cables and transfer away... and if you wanna do stuff the hard way upload everything you want to a upload place like megauploads or rapidshare.de and up everything(This seems pointless) but it is another option

I bought one of these nifty little tools a while ago:
http://www.usbgeek.com/prod_detail.php?prod_id=0190

Basically allows you to plug laptop and desktop HDD's in via a USB port. I got it mainly since I fix laptops for people every now and then and needed a way to connect them to a desktop PC :p

You might find it usefull... you can find them on ebay.
