How to make a good tutorial.

  1. Start by identifying what you are demonstrating.
  2. Make the tutorial from artwork you make as you go along, the reason will be obvious soon enough.
  3. Go through the tutorial step by step. If you have to add a marquee, if you have to do clouds, etc. Every step of the way.
  4. Take screenshots and put them in your tutorial for each step available. Highlight a button if applicable (#2 make sense now?)
  5. Be sure to show a finished product, so the readers know somewhat what to expect.
  6. Clarify any questions proposed by the readers.
HINT: use a step system as shown above as compared to full sentences in paragraphs. But do not feel obligated if you have some problem with it. If you do decide to do sentence form, be absolutly sure to do step 4. It's crucial in understanding.

Can we get a sticky on this?
