Well the best char for rushing hell would definately be a teleporting caster who can take out a lot of guyz with a few shots...that could be a wind druid, hammerdin, ice sorc...and for fighting d clone any char can give him a good beating as long as they have good fire absorb and don't use fire attacks.

isnt diablos best magic attack lightning based, i say a zeal or veng paly with max thorns and lots of health it seemed to work for me(just make sure u get him to hit u with his physical attack its not to hard just stand still unless he uses his lightning attack then run around him in a tight circle, i died the least amount of times using this stategy than any other)

i find thorns (on urself) useless.....why willing to take a hit?What if his dmg is too great that he/it kills u in 1 or 2 blows....and standing there like a wooden block doesnt imply that he will always use phy attacks on u....taking D as a eg....what if he casts lighting inferno?Ure dead meat.....(in hell or nm)....
