That's an LCD TV tho, its native resolution is 1366 x 768. I don't know what type of TV Tool plans on using though.

It's actually for my friend. He's getting a computer for graduation and instead of letting me build it he's buying one from iBUYpower.com. Also, is Newegg.com my best bet for cheap but good laptops? Or should I build one myself? Although I've never built a laptop myself, is it just as easy as desktops?

I have a 64cm TV hooked up to my Comp (s-video) but It's used for watching DVD's via the Comp only. It's way too shit close up to use as a monitor.

i was thinkin about hookin mine up to my grandparents 50" high def and seing what i get....

Half Life 2 anyone?

Unfortunately you can't build laptops, the closest thing you can get to that is upgrading (usually just the RAM, HDD, and optical drive). Because everything's so cramped it's almost impossible to do anything else. Newegg is probably just as good a site as any for buying one though.

Now, give me some DVD burning information. I want just a plain DVD burner. I don't know what the standard is anymore. All I know is I need to burn DVDs as well as CDs. I'm not aware if they have CD-R/RW DVD-R/RW combo drives, but that would be a plus. Any help there?

Yep, they do have CD/DVD burner combos. Are you looking for one for a laptop, or desktop?
plextor
toshiba like i have had for over a year but better
newegg list of DVD/CD burners

If you need a laptop one
Any of those should do fine.

So then any of the ones in the last newegg link should work.
You might as well get this one tho, it'd be work just fine.
