Why cant I find anything... - Chaos31 - 12-10-2005 Okay my fire sorc has 270 mf why cant i find naything GOOD? Gear: Full tals Lidless 45% travs Magefist p nagel Wisp projector Why cant I find anything... - Subsin - 12-10-2005 i heard that after you hit so much mf (300ish) the chance of items you get starts to go down or something i dont know if its true or not, but thats what i heard Why cant I find anything... - Shift - 12-10-2005 The more mf the better. That means get more. Why cant I find anything... - The_Klaggel2 - 12-10-2005 It's not that you start having lower chances of finding items with higher mf, it's just that you may have a higher chance (higher by percent and proportion) of finding a magic/rare item than a unique. For instance (I don't know the exact numbers - I think someone posted about this somewhere - possibly not even this site lol ) With 300 mf you have (These are the percents of the type of item that drops, magic/rare/unique) 300% on Magic 350% on rare 200% on unique Now say you have 500 mf 550% on magic 400% on rare 275% on unique So as you can see - the chances of getting an item always go up - but the gains are dimininishing - so (i think) theoretically at a certain mf % you would have better chances of finding uniques simply b/c there is a lower chance of finding magic/rare items. I did this from my memory, so I am sorry if it is not very accurate, but I'm trying to help anyway ![]() Why cant I find anything... - Shift - 12-10-2005 Not all the time though, my friend had 800 something mf and got uniques every run. I say if you have more mf the better chances of getting the better items, whick is kinda common sense. Why cant I find anything... - Meteor_Knight - 12-10-2005 what he says is true. the more mf the better. but, as u get more mf, you experience diminishin returns. that means that say, at 100% mf you have 100%xtra chance to drop unique, then at 200% mf u have only 180% xtra chance to drop unique, and so on Why cant I find anything... - Rktt - 12-10-2005 Thats probably accurate Klag, I too have heard something similar to this, even back on NonXpac d2 a few years ago there were rumors of this Why cant I find anything... - Lux Aeterna - 12-10-2005 Remember you'll find rares before you find uniques, I usually go 305-325 MF anyways, so try getting it up some, your MF is minimum "requirement" Why cant I find anything... - ZiVixx - 12-11-2005 yea i think that is how mf works |
