hopefully it isnt too old, but it should have a set of pins on the back with a clip, there will be a diagram on the top or back side, telling you how to set it up as a slave and not primary, follow those instructions, pop it in, and boom if done right it should work

ERROR
I set up the second drive as a slave and both of my drives were no longer found.
So i returned the second drive to its previous jumper setting and everything ok. What's the problem? also, does the primary HAVE to be the drive with more space? thx for help and any further suggestions

The primary drive is the one you would boot from. However, I've never really messed aroudn with master/slave settings as unless you have a really old comp it can basically all be done in the BIOS.

Set your main hd as master, the second as slave. plug the Middle plug from the cable to the master drive, and the end to the slave. you might have to go in your bios and let it know the hd is there if its an older motherboard.

other issues could be the older drive could be using another operating system. use the "slave one" as master to check the windows type and see if there is errors. You might need to change it to match your windows then format it when you got it running.

Also, prebuilt computers have it as a "scanned" setting so its not a master or a slave. You will have to change it.
