I thought of this when I saw someone with nova doing fair in killing monsters and I dont think think ive seen any guides for this, so I will start one. Turns out the thought to be useless spell nova can be a very, very, deadly pking spell. I'll just read off what I am using.
Gear:
Orb: Eschuta's
Armor: Chains of Honor Dusk / Ormus 14% Light Dmg
Shield: Spirit
Boots: Silkweave
Gloves: Frostburn
Rings: x2 Soj (of course)
Amulet: Fletch
Helm: Griffon's
Belt: Arach
Charms: Sorc Torch, x9 Light GC, Anni
*The gear will really determine the power of this character. Gear is IMPORTANT!*
Stats:
Strength: 126 (CoH +20 str and torch adds some)
Dex: Base
Life: Base
Energy: Everything else
Skills:
Max Nova
Max Light Mastery
Max Telkenisis
Max Energy Shield
4-5 Shiver Armor
1 Thunderstorm
1 Warmth
The basic idea is you want 3 things fastest regenerate mana possible, highest mana availible seeing as it is your "life", and fastest cast rate possible. I used Nova because as nova gets more skills points the cost per cast is well above 40, so it would just seem logical to combine it with a high mana character, the ES Sorceress. At low levels dont expect to kill anything, until about lvl 75 or so all the killing will be done by party members. At 80 you can use all the items on my items list therefore its time to duel. The great thing about using nova is it has no delay; therefore, you can deal massive amounts of damgae per cast session.devilish:

I'll try this build out, it's time to bring back 1.09

Well i tested her out in Open, She owns laggomancers that don't cast bone spear or anything. Haven't tested bowers, but i assume shed do decent if you keep teleing. Ownd FoH pallys if close. Singers die easily.
You need a rare 10% fcr to reach the 8 fcr break point.
All Melee chars kill this build VERY easily.
Tell me if the char works.

You need to have a fast internet or a good idea of how a sorcress telports on a slower modem. The key to to tele ontop of ur target and cast nova quick. The idea is to get them before they have a chance to run. FoH should be the only thing you have trouble with because they dont have to to see you to attack you. I can kill everything its just sometimes with stacked resistances you need to tele away.

You shudn't have the ES you want both life and mana
if you dont have an mana from ES your ****ed over i'd suggest taking out the ES putting it in something else i been playign on a 1.09d realm and the orginal orb/nova/ES worked out ok pvm but remade in about 2 hrs and pvp is better wqithout.

Have you played this build in a PvP game yourself? I'm wondering how you fair if you have to get so close to cast the Nova. What exactly is the damage on it and would it be better to put some more points into Thunderstorm to help with the damage?
