Hey back then I read somthing about making item's eth' with cube recipe, that guy who posted that it is tal + amn + pruby is a ***head. it sock's ur item So anyone know how to make it eth ? shield+ armor's?

I think you got it wrong - the bug is using that socketing recipe on an eth item; this will socket the item and give it +50% more defense. See pic below for an example of it:

I got a question, can you upgrade a socketed shield from exceptional to elite or does the recipe only work for uniques/runewords. I tried on a 4os shield but it doesnt work.

NO that was the "quote" on the recipe. I didn't read it wrong. Ok then what is the REAL WORKING recipe? I will quote u on it also. good u have screen, now recipe.( regular to eth, eth to sock?) and when u sock what are the result's is it 1-4 sock? 1 sock? 1-6socks?

do u always get the maximum amount of Sockets with this formuls, for example i wanna use this formula on my pally eth shield to make exile, would i get 4 sockets 100%?

[SIZE=-1]1 Tal Rune + 1 Thul Rune + 1 Perfect Topaz + Normal Body Armor = Socketed Body Armor of same type
The number of sockets created will vary. The item must be normal and unsocketed. Low-quality items and superior items do not work. The item gets 1-4 sockets, randomly. However, the number of sockets is then restricted by the maximum number of sockets that base item with that ilvl can have. The chance to get X sockets in most armor is 1/4, (I.E: Mage plate has a max of 3 sockets, so it has a 2/4 [1/2] chance to get 3 socketss). The base of 6 was used in the ratios for all the above mentioned areas.

OK, I tried the recipe as listed / depicted by JediMasta and it didn't work - I even had the same e armor as Jedi showed. I ended up just giving it to Lazarus and he gave me 40s. Wish I could have gotten the extra def though, cuz it was 890 to start with...

Well, I figured by what Siluru said you would've seen that all recipes can be found from Arreat Summit; here is the link to the page, just scroll down to find the socket recipes, I think the bug works with all of the socket recipes but I know at least it works with armors/shields: http://www.battle.net/diablo2exp/items/cube.shtml
