To me, maphacks are just a useful addition to the game. Whenever you rush someone it makes providing a useful service to someone much faster. Also people sometimes ask if somoene has maphack. It's not ruining the game, if anything it makes it better. My question is why are blizzard officials banning map-hackers? Duping I can see being bad, but honestly, no one is offended by maphackers... What is their reasoning behind this? I didn't get banned but I feel very bad for those who did. =/

Well blizz is like your boss.. he has to have almighty power.. If it wasn't his idea then it wasn't a good idea. Since they didn't think of maphack first. I personally think they should of added a maphack option in this patch. That way they could stop trying to keep warden up to date and work on other games.

Mh is bad and good, Bad as in anyone can find and kill bosses with Mf to get better and better gear. Also bad as in the rushes for pay they can just get rich that way also. Its Good that u cna help friends and get gear but bad in the same manner. I stopped using mh about 4 months ago and it doesnt effect me. Also if ppl didnt use Mh maybe they could work on a New game.....

But see with mh and more mfer's = lower prices of gear.... Well i guess that somewhat good and bad.. means my gear is worth less but it also means the poorer people can afford better gear or can find it. And now people pay to have there char grushed and lvled so either way mh pays off. Well i guess either way map hack has its pro's and con's.
To me I dont have patients to tele around endessly in the dark for hours I like to get the rush done so i can chaos. I have been playing d2 for almost 5 years now. The first few years were alright with no mh but once my friend introduced me with mousepad mh its just be a requirement now. I mean if it wasn't around I am sure i could deal with it.
Blizz just doesn't agree with it for some odd reason.. Beats me why they are so hard on it.

I still think they are wasting their time trying to stop it. It doesn't harm other players at all, and it doesn't harm anything. I just don't want diablo to become one of those games that was ruined by anti-cheating. Take runescape for example (yes it's a lame game.. we all know). Runescapes sole focus is to stop cheating. Nearly all of the updates are made to make it harder to automate, along with a few lame quests that no one cares about. These random events make it very annoying to play legit. Next we will see a more advanced warden that will cause game lag for people with low end machines.. along with more lag on b-net (which I have noticed is up greatly).
Blizzard should straighten out their priorities. As a general rule, they should make it so people have no incentive to cheat, or atleast make it so that cheating/maphacking is looked down upon (such as in CS). People won't generally try and cheat the system if they think the system works.
In response to the economical side of the game:
The game is just way more fun to play when you have good gear, that's the bottom line
Also the economy practically resets every time ladder resets, so why does it matter?

Well you have a very good point jansen. You atleast seem like you know what you are talking about.. Maybe you can go apply at blizz and take over. And make us all happy. lol but yeah cheating on c/s is very frawned on i play it very little.

I tend to have a good standpoint in issues like this. =P. I am well known at a lot of communities (mostly RS Cheating communities, used to be way into runescape... sold my mils and made a few Gs.)
However the likleyhood of taking over blizzard is very low :-P

Haha if you have a massive attention span its ok... otherwise its just you running around clicking rocks to mine whilst geting called a "Ch00b" by 9 yr olds..
It's basically like an uber crap version of WoW (it's much older tho).

I don't reccomend getting into it.. or trying it. You either hate it right away or get sucked into it and get addicted for 2 or more years... eventually turn to cheating, sell your stuff, make money, get banned, move on to bigger things. That's what happened to me anyway. It was worth the ride but most people aren't as lucky/intelligent as me.

Well they ban mhers cuz it's againts the rules, if you actually read the license of agreement it even says you will be banned if you use hacks. (in some form it's said). so that's why they ban em. heh 7 people looking at this

lol im devisback on those fourms but i dont go to reinet any more sinced i havent played rs for ever and i was only there for programming and graphics then they moved all the x tra shit to syi(seperate site affliated with reinet created by reines) so im there now

i think blizz should fix the game exploits and just reveal the map to use cuz as some1 said earlier i hate teleing in the dark not knowing where ta go specially with a krap PC like mine i lag up and die alot if blizz improved gameplay and they're user's happiness then not only would they b making more money they also wouldnt have as many problems as they do 2day
