well i wouldn't be surprised if microsoft did that.. they are microsoft. but this new vista.. it looks like a copy of xp but with just a tiny bit prettier... if mircosoft dosent put any work into it and rushes it through development again just like with xp, vista will suck. just look at all of the security problems xp has.. vista will be no different

Yeah, let's also look at all the viruses and worms and security holes in Linux and Macs. The only reason there's more for XP is because more people use it you ****ing retard. There's a shit ton of huge security flaws in Linux and Mac systems but they're not exploited because not as many people use them as a Microsoft operating system. Think about it, if everyone in the world had ****ing PS2s and there was maybe.... 100,000 Xboxes, what would you try and make shit for? Obviously the PS2 because there's a larger user base. It's ****ing just like marketing. Go take a business class.

Probably around 200-400 bucks (I'd guess 300 in stores, closer to 200 online). And of the 4 computers in our house, only one has only XP on it (and thats' my parent's comp). Half don't even have windows on them at all. It's probably used for banking because it's more secure, since A) less people use it, and B) you have much much more control over the nitty gritty details

I use Linux occasionally.
I have heard from some people that when you just have Vista running, it has a CPU use of 60%, and optimal RAM for it is 2 gigs... This may all be bullshit, but I still doubt that I shall be using it. XP is good enough for me.

I got it from my dad since he works with the state and works with the microsoft corparation. I had a opptunity to get a xbox 360 2 months befor it came out and they told us that they were not gonna be making alot. Who wants some screenshots of vista?
